Dr. Renata Moon spent nearly thirty years in pediatrics before she paid her own airfare to Washington and testified at a Senate hearing held by Senator Ron Johnson in the fall of 2022. She showed the room a blank package insert, said she was seeing a sharp rise in myocarditis in her community, and made clear she was speaking for herself as a concerned citizen. Her medical school opened an investigation, declined to renew her faculty contract in June 2023, and then reported her testimony to her state medical board. She says she never heard the results of the investigation.
