48 Days to Election Day: 10 Things You Can Do to Save America | Jenny Beth Martin

Jenny Beth Martin is the co-founder of the Tea Party movement and Chairman of Tea Party Patriots Action. She hosts The Jenny Beth Show live Monday through Friday at 1:00 PM ET. She is the person who asked Senator Mike Lee to write the SAVE America Act, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, on a conference call in January 2024, and she has worked on it with his office since.

This is a solo episode with no guests. It runs about half an hour instead of the usual full hour, and it is built around two things: what the Democratic Socialists of America actually published, and what a citizen can do about it in the 48 days that remain before Election Day.

Key topics:

The national program of the Democratic Socialists of America, read out loud from their own website

What "imagine a future without capitalism" means in practice for your house, your groceries, your health insurance and your thermostat

Abolishing the Senate, the Electoral College, the Supreme Court and the independent presidency

The contrast record: the $1,700 tax cut, girls' sports, the border, sanctuary cities and the angel families

The murder rate at its lowest level since 1900, and Memphis one year after the federal surge

10 specific things any citizen can do between now and Election Day

[00:00:00] We have 48 days from Election Day, and right now you can make a difference and help save our country by helping us get out the vote. Today we're going to be talking about 10 things you can do to make a difference and work to save America. I'm Jenny Beth Martin and this is The Jenny Beth Show.

[00:00:31] Welcome to The Jenny Beth Show. We're 48 days from the election, so today we're going to do kind of a short episode that's a little bit different than what we normally do. There are not any guests and I'm not going to be talking about news of the day. What I am going to be talking about are ways you can get involved with Tea Party Patriot Citizens Fund to help us get out the vote. We have to make sure we are turning out voters so that they vote for common sense and not crazy communism.

[00:01:00] If you watch the Republican Party convention last week, you heard the common sense things that President Trump and the Republican Congress and Senate are doing to make a difference for our country. And you also saw some of the things that have been going wrong with our country and even more that will go wrong even further if the left gets control and seizes power of one or both chambers.

[00:01:27] Think about a few of the things that they would want to do. Think about a few of the things that they would want to do. They we already talk about often how they don't want a voter ID and proof of citizenship to register to vote. We know that it's crazy. Most Americans want it. They understand these are common sense safeguards to help secure our elections. The Republicans in Congress and President Trump signed a seventeen hundred dollar tax cut for individuals across this country.

[00:01:56] Two hundred and six. I think it's well, maybe it's not even two hundred six. It's every single Republican, every single Democrat in the Senate and the House voted against that bill. That means they voted against the tax cuts. They voted against making the tax rates permanent and effectively were voting for the largest tax increase we would ever have in our entire history. The Republicans are standing for girls in girls sports and to protect girls sports.

[00:02:25] This is such common sense. I can't believe we even have to talk about it. And yet two hundred and six House Democrats voted against protecting girls sports and not a single Democrat senator has voted to protect girls sports. Our border is secure now. Sometimes it is hard to step back and think about how just 24 months ago our border was wide open.

[00:02:51] When people were coming across it in the southern border and also coming across in airplanes, landing and dispersing throughout the entire country. President Biden allowed in at least 10 million non citizens who were not here legally into our country. Yesterday there was another hearing on sanctuary cities and I watched as a mother talked about her.

[00:03:17] It was just heartbreaking. I watched online as a mother talked about her son and her new daughter in law and how they were killed by a jackknife tractor trailer with an illegal immigrant who Biden released to the border and allowed into the country. California issued a driver's license for and the person could not even speak English.

[00:03:41] He was driving a truck that killed her son and his and his brand new bride. They'd only been married for 16 days and they were coming back from a special wedding reception with with her family in a different part of the country. The Democrats stood for that crazy wide open border. They voted against securing the border and they think that sanctuary city policies are OK.

[00:04:07] And we have Democrats who hear about these crimes and these horrible things that have happened to the angel families around the country. Like the lady yesterday, like Sheridan Gorman's family. I met her mother at the RNC convention last week. She was brutally shot in Chicago in March of this year. And they they think, well, there's crime in America and crime happens. Crime absolutely does happen.

[00:04:36] And we should work to stop crime from happening in our country. Crime that happens from an illegal immigrant who never should have been in our country in the first place is a 100 percent preventable crime. If the government would just step up and enforce our immigration laws and Democrats don't want to do that. They don't want the secure border. And I think that's crazy and it's dangerous. And speaking of crime, the murder rate has dropped 18 percent.

[00:05:06] And in fact, the murder rate in our country is so much safer now, thanks to President Trump and the Republicans in both chambers of Congress. The murder rate is so low. It is the lowest we have seen since the year 1900, 126 years, 1900. It's shocking to me when you go back and you think when they say, oh, the lowest in 126 years. When was that? 1900. That was an incredibly long time ago.

[00:05:35] And we are now down at that low rate in America. Our cities, our metro cities are safer. In fact, today or yesterday is the I guess it was yesterday is a one year anniversary from when President Trump stood up and said, I'm going to protect Memphis and we're going to have an all of government approach to help Memphis. Memphis had the highest crime, violent crime rate in the entire country.

[00:06:01] And there are 30 different federal, state and local agencies working together to reduce the crime in Memphis. A year later, the crime rate is down 36 percent. The murder rate is down 36 percent. The carjacking rate and auto theft and nonviolent crimes are also down. And they have found one hundred and eighty nine children who were missing. They've been able to recover one hundred and eighty nine children.

[00:06:29] All of that in just one year because we have a president who is determined to help make America great again by making sure we have a safe country. The Democrats are not in favor of that. And in fact, the Democrats, Socialists of America actually want to abolish prisons and abolish the police. And to get there, they're willing to defund the police. And they also want to abolish ICE. They don't want any sort of law and order in this country.

[00:06:57] And then the last I guess those are the big points that I want to make, just showing you a few of the contrast points between what I think is common sense and the craziness that we are seeing from the left. And then let me just pull up for you the Democratic Socialists of America website. And this is an important website to understand.

[00:07:19] And we're going to be talking a bit more about this on the Jenny Beth Show over the next several weeks, because the Democrats who are elected in Democratic leadership positions in both chambers of Congress, especially Hakeem Jeffries, the congressman and in on the House side and Senator Schumer, Chuck Schumer on the. The Senate side, the leaders of the party in either chamber. They are not distancing themselves from the Democratic Socialists of America.

[00:07:48] They are welcoming them and saying there is a place for the people who support these ideas into their party. We're going to bring up their website. So let's just take a look at it. They have a program. And so it isn't hard for me to believe that people would fall for this and think it sounds like something that's a good thing, because when you look at their website, they say, imagine taking a day off from work in a future without capitalism.

[00:08:17] And they go through and say, maybe you won't need it so badly. And you're much better trained. Let's just slow it down right there. Hold on just a second. You're better trained than you were before. So so you don't really need a day off. But and and you only work. I think it's something you only work as much as you need to. And as if you don't really have to work very much anymore when you have a day without capitalism and you don't have to worry about paying bills.

[00:08:45] Because speaking of bills, they say you won't have them anymore. You won't have any debt. You won't need health insurance. Notice that you won't need health insurance. They don't actually want you to have health insurance. So if you actually do like having health insurance, you won't have it in their vision of America. You don't pay for a mortgage and you don't have a landlord because housing is now a human right, according to them. And retirement is publicly funded because Social Security is working so well.

[00:09:15] And is completely solvent. And we don't have to worry about that over the next decade or so. Food, education, energy, medicine, transportation. They aren't for profit businesses anymore. They're all common goods and utilities. So if your grocery stores are going to be owned by the government, the amount of food you can get will be determined by the government. The kind of food you can get will be determined by the government.

[00:09:42] How much energy you can have will be determined by the government. Whether you can set your house at 68 at night or 78 at night will be determined by the government. I would imagine that if it's cold outside, your house is going to be much colder than you would want it to be. And if it's hot outside, it's going to be much hotter rather than you being the one who decides what's best for you. The list goes on and on. But they make it sound so nice. You won't have to worry about anything. You won't have a house payment anymore.

[00:10:12] If you don't have a house payment, who owns the house? That would be the government. If the government owns the house, what exactly is going to happen with that? How do you get to pick where you're going to live? I would imagine in that case, the government decides what's best for you and your family. And it will be a one size fits all system. So what they describe, I think, is a modern day utopia that Americans might want. But the utopia, we all know, will be an actual nightmare.

[00:10:45] They say they want health care for all. And they also talk about wanting Medicare for all. We've got some of the things they say they will fight for. Well, if they have Medicare for all, that means you're not going to have health insurance anymore. It's going to be a one size fits all health insurance program, very much like what we saw during the COVID lockdowns. Wait, wait, wait. Hang on. I want to cover a couple more of those right there. It talks about the Green New Deal. The Green New Deal will regulate energy. It will reduce energy production.

[00:11:14] If you think gas prices are high now, just wait until they take over and they shut down even more pipelines than what President Biden did. You won't get to pick your own thermostat setting. They will determine it for you. They will be total government control. OK. And then they want to abolish ICE. They want to—they say they want to end the U.S. war machine and to free Palestine.

[00:11:42] Free Palestine is code words for no Israel. When they say from the river to the sea, in between the river and the sea is Israel right now. They don't want Israel to exist and don't think Israel has a right to exist. They also don't think Israel has a right to have defended herself after the attacks that the country endured on October 7th.

[00:12:06] We just celebrated the 25th anniversary of 9-11 in this country. We all still remember how horrible it was. We are angry that we saw Mayor Mondami and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez laughing. Its names of victims were read off in New York City that day. It might have just been a moment. They might not—you know, sometimes you just have your worst moment. It gets caught on camera.

[00:12:33] Maybe that's all it was, but the fact is we're outraged by this. It should have been solemn. There should have been—had not been laughing. There were families whose fathers and husbands and mothers and wives were no longer with them and haven't been for 25 years because of a terrorist attack on our country. And we expected that day to be treated with the respect it deserved.

[00:12:55] Yet, at the same time, the people who are part of the Democratic Socialists of America think Israel deserve what happened to Israel on October 7th. It did not, and America did not deserve a terrorist attack either. Citizens across the world deserve to be able to live their life without terrorist attacks. And if there is one, a country has a right to defend herself. I want no war. I would love to be in a place where there is no war. And sometimes war happens, and you have to respond to it.

[00:13:24] And sometimes violent acts of aggression happen to a country, and the country has a moral obligation to respond and to defend the country's citizens. And that's what America is trying to do. It's what President Trump is trying to do with the engagement he has had in Iran. And that certainly is what Israel has tried to do after October 7th. The list goes on and on and on and on. They are for Marxism and communism. It is big government socialism.

[00:13:53] It is government control. If you don't understand what that would look like because you've never lived in a socialist or communist country, think about what it felt like when we lived under the COVID lockdowns. Did you like wearing a mask? Did you like your neighbors snitching on you if you walked outside to breathe some fresh air and didn't have a mask on? Did you like your children not being able to go to school? None of us like that. None of us like that. We don't want that in America permanently.

[00:14:20] And that is much more the reality of what would happen if the Democrat socialists get their way. And yet the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party is not pushing them out and not saying no. And a few other things the Democratic socialists want. They want to abolish the United States Senate. They want to pretty much abolish the presidency and put the presidency underneath an expanded, empowered House of Representatives.

[00:14:49] They want to either pack or get rid of the United States Supreme Court. They want to get rid of the Electoral College as we know it and go to a popular vote count. All of these things would shred the Constitution, as our founders wrote it. It would shred the ability for our country to live in freedom and liberty for another 250 years.

[00:15:15] Our Constitution is designed not to protect the government, not to empower the government, but to protect our rights. The role of the Constitution and the government is to protect our rights. And we give up some of our freedom in order for the government to protect our rights. But we don't. That only works if you've got a government with the checks and balances in it the way that our founders intended.

[00:15:41] If you get rid of those checks and balances by getting rid of the United States Senate or getting rid of the presidency or changing how how we determine who is a president and diminishing the rights of smaller states in this country with smaller populations, then you you wind up harming the ability for the government to protect rights. And you wind up empowering the government to take more and more power and to take away our rights.

[00:16:10] None of that is OK. And it's why we must be involved and we must be active. So now here are 10 things you can do to save America. And you can find this by going to I will save America dot com. And I understand we all want the Save America Act to pass. And believe me, I'm not giving up on that. I am the one who asked Senator Lee to write the bill in the first place. Cleta Mitchell was with me on that conference call.

[00:16:36] We've been working on this with Senator Lee from day one in January of 2024. And we are not giving up on that. There is a time and a place for everything. And right now, the time and place is to make sure we are doing all we can to get out the vote, to make sure that voters vote for common sense. And then we come back and we keep working on the Save America Act after the election. So you go to I will save America dot com. And there are voters right now here.

[00:17:06] It kind of lays out there the problem. There are voters who vote every election cycle. And then there are voters who vote only in presidential election cycles. So they voted in twenty twenty and twenty twenty four. They agree with us. They want common sense for our country. But they didn't vote in twenty twenty two. And they won't vote again in twenty twenty six unless we go and do all that we can to urge them to vote and to help them make a plan and to make sure they execute that plan to vote.

[00:17:35] And we also have to remind them of what's at stake. So we've got a plan to do just that. And we have the tools for you to be able to do that. If those voters show up and vote, the ones who voted for making America great, the ones who voted for President Trump, the ones who voted for this conservative Congress and the House and the Senate, the Republican majority in the House and the Senate. If they come back out and vote, we will win.

[00:18:02] But it is going to be up to people like you and I who are watching podcasts, like watching videos like this and listening to the audio podcast like this to make a difference. And at Tea Party Patriot Citizens Fund, our 527 Super PAC, we will do everything we can to help train you and to help give you the tools and resources you need so you can take action. So the first thing we have is registering voters and we can show you how you can get voters registered to vote.

[00:18:29] There are some states, like the state of Wisconsin, where a voter can vote, can register to vote all the way up until Election Day. There are other states, like the state of Georgia, where the last day to register to vote is a month before Election Day. So in Georgia, the voter registration deadline is going to be upon us in a few weeks from now. In Wisconsin, you could keep registering voters all the way up until Election Day.

[00:18:56] So depending on where you live will determine how much you'll be able to work on that. But that's one of the options. The next one is to send postcards. And when we say send postcards, what we mean is that you'll get postcards and you will handwrite a message on the back of the postcard and send it to one of the voters we've identified as likely to vote for our values, but may not be voting this election cycle unless we work to get them out to vote. So we've got postcards for you to do with that.

[00:19:26] Over the last several election cycles, Tea Party Patriot Citizens Fund has sent over 2 million postcards like this to voters around the country. And so that is a great opportunity for you, and it's a very easy way to get involved. You also can make phone calls to voters. Now, I understand you're probably thinking, well, I don't really look at anyone whose phone number is unknown, and I don't know on my phone. I was looking down at my phone, just so you know. I get it.

[00:19:55] But there may be some older voters, especially, who still are using landlines or would still answer the phone. We just want to make sure that we are leaving no stone unturned. So to the extent that we can get people who would be likely to answer the phone to answer the phone and urge them to vote and to remind them of the importance of it, we're going to do that. Then we've got a program so you can text your friends and family.

[00:20:20] These would be friends and family who are already in your contact list, who are going to be likely voters, and who may not vote if you don't talk to them. So we have a plan for you to be able to do that. We also have the ability for you to go door-to-door. And you can do that through our app. There are going to be some areas of the country where we're focused on going door-to-door more than other countries. I mean, other areas, other counties or other states in the country.

[00:20:48] But we have a way for you to go door-to-door and to talk to voters that way. You've heard us talk often about becoming a poll watcher or a poll worker. Those are still options for you to do. Then you can volunteer with a local campaign. This is one of the things that I've mentioned over the last several weeks. Call up one of your local campaigns. It could be for Congress or Senate in your area. Or it could be for governor, lieutenant governor, a statewide race.

[00:21:17] Or it could be for your state senator or your state reps or your state legislators. Or it could even be your school board or your county commission. Call and tell them you want to be involved and ask them what they need volunteers to do. They constantly need volunteers. We've got 48 days left. They need people stepping up every single day. They may want you to go wave signs. They may want you to put signage out. They may want you to text or go door-to-door or do any of the things that I just mentioned above

[00:21:46] that you can do a Tea Party Patriots action. But they need help locally. And we urge you to get involved with local campaigns. The other thing is that we encourage you to donate to campaigns and candidates of your choice. They need the money to be able to run their campaigns. So we encourage you to donate. And that's another thing that you can do. And shortly that we don't have it on our website right now, we will be listing candidates who we've endorsed.

[00:22:13] And you can click through and donate to those candidates who we've endorsed. But you also, we're not going to be able to endorse everyone. So you can also look at who's running in your local area or in your state and donate to candidates there as well. And the last thing you can do is recruit five other people to volunteer on this page. If they're upset or they're worried or they're freaking out about the country or they're texting you and sending you messages or sharing messages on social media with you,

[00:22:42] urge them to go to I Will Save America. IWillSaveAmerica.com. And sign up with us today. Now, we just launched this website yesterday. We are working furiously on the back end to make sure we have all of the materials ready for you. We were working nonstop on the Save America Act and have shifted gears and have worked on poll watching and poll working over the last month.

[00:23:07] And we are making sure we've got all of our I's dotted and our T's crossed for the Get Out the Vote activity. So when you sign up, you'll get an email. And then if you sign up now, you'll get we will be shipping postcards to you within about a week. So we you may be receiving the postcards in nine to 10, 10 days or so from when you sign up. But we've got the postcards are being printed. We're working to get them them shipped out. And we'll begin shipping those on Friday of this week.

[00:23:37] Also, the app, if you sign up to text your friends, make the phone calls, go door to door. We have training that is online. So you can click on through and then do training. So you learn how to use our app so that you can use it to match up your contacts and figure out who who your friends are, who are the voters we need to be turning out to vote. And then you'll be able to connect with them.

[00:24:01] So my point is we're still working on some of the back end pieces to make sure every single part has very specific and clear directions. But we do have training available for poll watcher and poll worker. We have training available for for the making the phone calls, the the making the phone calls, the door to door and the text messaging. And then we also have the postcards that will be going out for the the candidates.

[00:24:31] We are endorsing. We'll get that list up very shortly so you could click through and donate to them and then to find one of the candidates in your local area. You know who's running for Congress. You know who is running for the Senate right now. And the fact is, we've got to make sure they are getting out the vote in every section of this country. So call up those candidates and ask them how you can help them so that they can win this election cycle. Just look them up. Search for them online.

[00:24:59] You can find it and be involved with that. And then the last thing is just urging other friends, sharing this page with your friends and asking others to to join us so that we can volunteer and make a difference. The beauty of signing up with us and notice we see be involved with local campaigns and donate to local candidates. We also encourage you to help with us.

[00:25:22] We're going to be focusing on the 21 or so tight Republican congressional seats and the the possible Senate seats that are going to need the most attention. So our our focus is going to be more on those seats. So if you live in a very red area or you live in a very blue area and you think you can't make a lot of a difference moving voters one way or the other in your area.

[00:25:48] If you volunteer with us, you can help us get out the vote in a swing area. And that could be the all of the difference. You could help us make all of the difference when it comes to who controls the Congress next year. And believe me when I say we have so much is at stake.

[00:26:07] President Trump is doing all he can to help turn the country around and to to make America great, not just for us right now in this time, but for the next generation. And he's trying to make generational change in the country right now. If we don't hold on to the House or the Senate, his entire administration will be mired in investigation after investigation, impeachment vote after impeachment vote.

[00:26:34] We saw that there was an impeachment vote in the House yesterday against President Trump, and those will continue. It will continue and he won't be able to get as much done in either will his administration. So we just need to do all we can to help hold the House and hold the Senate, but also to work at a statewide and a local level so that we are voting for common sense candidates and we help them get elected. That's my call to action for you today.

[00:27:04] And that's pretty much the whole show. We're going to end the show a little bit earlier than we normally do. It is it's really only about half an hour rather than an hour today, because the team and I have got to get back to work to make sure we finalize putting all of our ducks in a row and getting our eyes dotted and our T's crossed so that when you sign up to volunteer, you've got all the support you need. But we're looking forward to working with you. And together we can save America.

[00:27:32] Remember, go to I Will Save America or I will save America dot com. I will save America dot com. I'm Jenny Beth Martin. This is a Jenny Beth show and we'll see you again tomorrow.
