SAVE America Act Stalls as the Senate Packs Up & Fauci's Diaries Go Public | Sixto, Houck, McNeily

SAVE America Act has 50 senators on record and still no vote. The Senate wants a month off with 99 days until the midterm elections.
Fifty senators are already on record for the SAVE America Act. The Majority Leader says he cannot find the votes. Not that he will not. That he cannot. Jenny Beth Martin opens this hour on what that word actually means in Washington, ninety-nine days out from the midterm elections, with the one bill that guarantees only American citizens decide American elections sitting in a chamber that wants to go on vacation.
The House has done its part. It passed proof of citizenship and voter identification by folding them into the annual defense authorization bill, 216 to 212, then added voter identification to the Stop Insider Trading Act, and moved to put the SAVE America Act on the reconciliation track that requires only fifty votes. Senators Mike Lee, Rick Scott, Jim Banks, and Ashley Moody have all said they will not go quietly into the August recess.
Driena Sixto, Spanish Media Director at the Lincoln Media Foundation, joins for Iran, the SAVE America Act, and the Smithsonian fight. She answers the "it is already illegal" argument with the clearest analogy anyone has offered, and tells the story of Cuban parents who waited ten years to have children rather than raise them under a communist regime. Curtis Houck, Managing Editor of NewsBusters at the Media Research Center, takes us inside the rescheduled White House Correspondents' Dinner and the press corps now arguing the event should end. Co-host Robert McNeily closes on the release of Anthony Fauci's personal diaries ahead of Wednesday's Senate testimony, and the thirty-three Illinois counties voting to explore separating from Cook County.
Call the Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121 and tell both of your senators to pass the SAVE America Act and not leave town until they do. Talking points and answers to frequently asked questions are at passthesaveamericaact.com. More at jennybethshow.com and teapartypatriots.org.
