For 73 days, Senate Democrats have refused to fund the Department of Homeland Security. ICE agents, Customs and Border Patrol officers, TSA officers, Coast Guard sailors, and Secret Service agents — the same Secret Service that just protected the President of the United States from a third assassination attempt — have been getting up, going to work, and not getting paid.

As Kris puts it: “If Congress has one job, it’s to provide funding for the government. They can’t even do it.” Hundreds of thousands of moms, dads, grandmas, brothers, and sisters cannot put gas in their cars or food on their tables — because Senate Democrats have decided to use their paychecks as leverage.
Jenny Beth and Kris also break down the central hypocrisy: the same Senate Democrats calling President Trump a “dictator” and a “king” are using legislative power to block him from acting. If he were actually a king, no Senate vote would be required. The dictator framing collapses on contact with what they are actually doing.
