Every year before 2020, Dr. Kat Lindley had to be fit tested for her mask. A clear plastic helmet goes over your head, the technician sprays saccharin inside it, and if you can taste it, the mask is not sealing. She had done it for years and complained about it, because she had always been a medium and had never changed size.
Then the pandemic arrived. The CDC said use an N95. They ran out. The CDC said a surgical mask is fine. They ran out. And then, she says, the CDC recommended bandanas. That was the moment she stopped believing any of it.
In this clip she walks through what she calls the second lie: the instruction to close medical offices and tell patients to stay home until they could not breathe, which she says filled hospitals with people who were no longer a little sick but critically sick. She calls it telling the frontline to stand down, and she says you do not do that to people who already accepted the risk when they went into medicine.
Then the third: a brand new product, a trial in a limited number of people, and an assertion of 100 percent certainty. Her argument is not that the science was hard. It is that "we think it is safe" would have held, and "it is safe" could not.
