Josh McKoon is Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, and this is the most useful four minutes in the hour because it ends in something you can actually do this week.
His read on Georgia is that it stays competitive no matter what the top line says. President Trump won the state in 2024 by 51 to 49 with everyone rowing in the same direction and the wind at their back, and this is a midterm. So he does not talk about persuading the middle. He talks about turnout, and about a target list of roughly 400,000 low propensity Georgia voters his party believes can decide the state. Then he says the number out loud: he can see this election coming down to five or ten thousand votes in either direction.
That is the setup for the ask. If a state can turn on five thousand votes, then everyone has to be able to trust the count when it comes in, whichever way it goes. In 2024 the Georgia Republican Party and its allied organizations broke the state's own records for poll watcher coverage at targeted precincts, and he wants that again.
He is precise about the difference between the two jobs. A poll worker is inside the process, making sure the laws Georgians fought to pass are actually enforced: that a voter presents photo identification, that the vote is verified, that a person who shows up is able to finish voting successfully. A poll watcher is in the precinct looking for anything that does not follow Georgia law, and getting relief on the front end rather than litigating after the fact. And he defines the whole fight in one line. When we talk about election integrity, we are talking about one thing, a level playing field, where the laws of the state are enforced so the election is fair.
Then he says the part that is worth quoting to anybody who thinks this is partisan. He does not care whether you are a Republican, a Democrat or an Independent. He wants us all to have confidence that the certified winner really won. He desperately wants his side to win, and whatever happens, he wants to feel the next day that the election was fair.

If you cannot work the polls, be a poll watcher, which you sign up for through your local party. Republicans call the county Republican party, Democrats call the county Democratic party, and both sides need to be in the room.
