Why would a transplant hospital already know your blood type before you ever got sick? Dr. Torsten Trey, founder of Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting, tells Jenny Beth Martin how the Chinese Communist Party turned detained Falun Gong practitioners into a catalogued organ supply: blood drawn in detention, tissue factors recorded, an archive that could name a matching donor in ten minutes. He explains why the money paid to surgeons was never the point. The point was to eliminate dissidents in a way nobody would notice, what he calls a final solution carried out on an operating table, where the patient "didn't survive" because the heart, liver, and kidneys were gone.
Then he follows the system outward: the Uyghurs of Xinjiang as a dedicated source of halal organs for patients from the Middle East, and his fear that China's 50 million Christians, now approaching the number that triggered the Falun Gong persecution, are the next group. He closes with the lesson the Party learned from Tiananmen Square in 1989: a massacre on camera cost it business, so the execution moved from the fields into the hospitals, and the doctors now do the firing squad's job.
