Sheridan Gorman was a freshman at Loyola University in Chicago -- a young woman from Yorktown, New York who had just finished her first year of college. She was out with friends at a Lakeview park just before 1 AM, hoping to catch a rare glimpse of the northern lights that far south. A masked man with a gun confronted the group. Sheridan didn't get away.
The man accused of killing her is Jose Medina Medina -- a Venezuelan illegal alien who was caught by Border Patrol in 2023, released, later arrested for shoplifting, and released again. The system told him nothing would happen to him. So he kept breaking the law.
Beth Brelje, Senior Political Investigator at Restoration News, joins Jenny Beth Martin to explain how Illinois sanctuary crime is now spilling across state lines into Wisconsin -- and to expose something most Americans have never heard of: Welcoming America Inc, the nonprofit turning small towns across the country into "certified welcoming cities" -- a code word for sanctuary cities. They have at least 44 certified cities and are actively lobbying local town councils nationwide.
This is how the sanctuary movement is spreading -- not shrinking -- even during the Trump administration.
