Requiring citizenship to vote is favored by Republicans, Independents, and Democrats.

When the majorities of both parties and Independents want citizenship verification to vote, that should be a no-brainer.

Why doesn’t the Left side of Congress feel the same? It seems as if Democrats in Congress have a different agenda than the very people who voted for them.
