New national polling from McLaughlin & Associates reveals an emerging American consensus the political class in Washington does not want you to see. What the numbers show:
• 81% say fraud in government programs is theft from taxpayers
• 83% want Congress to require a permanent system to detect and prevent fraud before the money walks out the door
• 72% say legal immigrants should learn English and embrace American tradition and values
• 58% say birthright citizenship should apply only to children of citizens and legal permanent residents
• 71% say Iran should not be allowed to block, mine, or extort ships in the Strait of Hormuz
• 83% say political violence has no place in America and must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law
• 64% say America's constitutional system of free markets, individual rights, and representative government is worth defending
• 82% say only U.S. citizens should vote in American elections
