[00:00:00] In five days, America turns 250 years old. Five days until our country stands at its most consequential anniversary in history. The founders who bled at Bunker Hill and froze at Valley Forge did not do it so that a non-citizen could walk into a polling place, fill out a ballot, and cancel your legitimate legal vote. They did not do it so that rogue insurance brokers could enroll ghost enrollees into federal healthcare programs and seek you, the taxpayer, with a bill.
[00:00:30] And they sure as heck did not do it so the United States Senate could sit on a bill that has now passed the House of Representatives four times and has 80% plus approval from Americans and do nothing. I'm Jenny Beth Martin, and this is The Jenny Beth Show. Stay tuned so you can learn how to take action this week.
[00:01:02] Welcome to The Jenny Beth Show. Last week, President Trump opened the Great American State Fair on the National Mall. He said, America is back. He's right. America is back. And we still have a lot of work to do because eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. Tonight, as we stand on the edge of our 250th year of independence, I am thrilled to declare that America is back.
[00:01:31] As you know very well, a short time ago, we were a dead country. We were dead. Now we're the hottest country anywhere in the world. We're respected by everybody. Nobody's laughing at us anymore.
[00:01:52] Two years ago, they were laughing. Now we're the most respected anywhere. Think of it anywhere in the world. Where were we two years ago? We weren't respected. We were a joke. We're not a joke anymore. Most powerful country in the world. But just like those patriots of 1776 over the past 17 months, we have taken power back from the far off political class. They're trying to gain it back, but it's not going to happen.
[00:02:20] We have reclaimed our sovereignty, regained our liberty, restored our prosperity, and we have saved our country. In all things, we're once again putting a thing called America first. Then on July 4th, we will have the greatest show of all on the National Mall. Your favorite president will be speaking. So please show up.
[00:02:48] Because if we have two empty seats, you know what's going to happen? The fake news is going to say he didn't fill out the arena. Now I'll be speaking. I'll be very proudly speaking as we ring in our 250th year with the largest fireworks display in world history, 10 times larger than any that we've ever done in Washington or in the United States. So if you like fireworks.
[00:03:17] Today on the show, the Save America Act continues to languish in the Senate. Tea Party Patriots action and our allies are pressing the president to veto a pending housing bill until the Senate gives us a real plan to pass the Save America Act. Iran tested the ceasefire this weekend and we struck back. Then both sides stood down. Control of the Strait of Hormuz is at stake. The Supreme Court handed the administration three straight six-three immigration wins in a single week.
[00:03:47] Today's Watson v. RNC ruling, which said ballots can continue to arrive post-election day, might make you frustrated. But I think it should give you a reason to understand that passing the Save America Act is even more crucial. We need voter ID on ballots, all ballots, including absentee and mail ballots, and we need it no matter what the RNC ruled. So make sure that if you are frustrated, you're taking action on the Save America Act.
[00:04:16] And then there's this. On Saturday, RFK Jr. and Dr. Oz reported that there are more than one million people enrolled in Obamacare with no Social Security number. That means that these are ghost people enrolled in Obamacare. My colleague Robert McNeely is going to host the show and welcome our guests.
[00:04:37] But first, I want to make sure that you contact the White House and make sure that you are urging President Trump to veto the housing bill. You can call right now, and I urge you to do so. Whether you call or go online, we need to make sure that they understand we want the housing bill vetoed until and unless the Save America Act is added to it.
[00:05:01] Then go to Truth Social and other social media platforms to convey the same message tagging real Donald Trump. To contact the White House, you can go to whitehouse.gov forward slash contact. Again, whitehouse.gov forward slash contact.
[00:05:19] And then while you're at it, go ahead and call your congressman and both of your senators and tell them you want to see the Save America Act added to every single piece of legislation the House is sending to the Senate and for the Senate to pass the Save America Act. Time is ticking regarding the housing bill. There are only 10 days for the president to veto a bill once it is transmitted to the White House.
[00:05:46] For talking points, answers to frequently asked questions, and more information about the Save America Act, go to passthesaveamericaact.com. Now, let me bring in Robert McNeely, Director of Broadcasting and Grassroots Engagement for Tea Party Patriots Action. Robert, welcome to the show, and thanks for hosting today. Well, thank you, Jenny Beth.
[00:06:06] Hope you had a great weekend and hope everyone had a great weekend as the Supreme Court rules on mail-in ballots, executive powers, and additional high court decisions forthcoming today or in the couple of days from now. Now, the House of Representatives getting ready to pass the Save America Act for the fourth time. Yes, the fourth time.
[00:06:25] For those of you who are new to this fight, the Save America Act, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, requiring documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections and a photo ID to cast that ballot. But Speaker Mike Johnson put it on Fox this week and Chip Roy put it on X.
[00:06:45] And the Tea Party Patriots Action is putting maximum pressure on the president to veto a pending housing bill until the Senate produces a written plan to pass it. And, Speaker, I want to talk a little bit. And, Speaker, I want to talk a little about where we're going. You are managing lots of different personalities in the Congress. You have a small margin to actually get the president's agenda passed. You had a rare bipartisan win with the housing bill.
[00:07:13] But, of course, now we're seeing that held up because of the president's threats to not sign it because he wants to save America bill attached. What are you going to do about it? Well, I met with the president for a few hours on Thursday in the Oval Office, and we talked about it in great detail. The housing bill really is a Republican priority because it will lower housing costs. We made a lot of promises to the voters, and we're fulfilling those every single day of this Congress.
[00:07:40] And this is a big part of that because it will increase the availability, the access to more housing, bring down costs, cut regulations, do the things that we know are very important for that market. The president, I talked about that at length. Of course he wants to do all those things. I'm going to send the bill over to him. It's passed by both chambers. I'm sending it to him on Monday, and it will become law.
[00:08:02] And I certainly want him to take the biggest, boldest marker that he has and do that big Trump signature proudly on that legislation because we're delivering for the people, and that's what he wants to do. Four times. The House has done its job four times. So what's the holdup? Let me show you the number you need to understand right now. It's 60 votes. It's a Senate cloture threshold until regular Senate order comes back. An earlier attempt to attach the Save America Act to the reconciliation bill was struck under the Byrd rule.
[00:08:31] That's the waiver motion. Failed 50 to 49. So there are already 50 senators on the record supporting the House-backed measure. The fight right now is finding 10 more, and that is where you come in. The American people are not giving up on this. 56% say the Senate should keep working to pass the Save America Act versus only 30% who say give up. Now, this is a poll commissioned by the Tea Party Patriots Action and McLaughlin & Associates.
[00:09:00] A separate March 2026 McLaughlin poll commissioned by Tea Party Patriots Action showed 64% of Americans say the Senate should pass it. This is Republican, Democrat, and Independent, and recently in Washington, D.C., interviewing those who want to pass the Save America Act. Now, as Chip Roy said it plainly on X, stay on the offensive. Pass the Save America Act.
[00:09:29] Codify Trump's border policies. Never again allow a Biden-Mayorkas border crisis. And Jenny Beth Martin posted directly to President Trump this morning. President Trump needs to veto the housing bill until the Save America Act is on his desk. So call the White House right now, 202-456-1111. So here is the through line for the 250th birthday.
[00:09:56] More than 8 in 10 Americans agree that American elections are for Americans only, American citizens specifically. The House has passed this four times as mentioned prior. We are five days from the 250th birthday of the United States. And the legacy media keeps insisting that proof of citizenship is redundant because non-citizen voting is already illegal. But a law enforcement method is not law, simply a guideline. So it's a suggestion.
[00:10:24] That's why the Save America Act provides the enforcement method, 77.1%. That's the support for requiring proof of citizenship just to register to vote. The commission poll by the Tea Party Patriots action back in March 2026 shows this. And before the left tells you this disenfranchises minority voters, that same poll found that 95.2% of voters already have a valid photo ID.
[00:10:51] That's including 92% of black voters and 90%, a big 9-0 of Hispanic voters. Here's what you do right now. Call that Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121. Tell Senator Thune, the leader in the majority in the United States Senate, that we need a real written plan to pass the Save America Act, not promises, a plan.
[00:11:18] And before any other bill moves forward, go to passthesaveamericaact.com to add your name to that very petition. Now we'll be right back in just a moment. So stay with us as you visit passthesaveamericaact.com to get this all done. Stick with us on the Jenny Beth Show. You are the grassroots of America. You love this country. When you love something, really love it, the news doesn't just inform you, it fires you up.
[00:11:47] And you find yourself asking, how can I make a difference? That is exactly what this show is built to answer. Never, ever, ever, ever give up. We owe it to every American who has ever voted to make America great again. We owe it to our future selves. We owe it to this republic to stand tall, to stay active, and to be smart about how we spend our energy so that we can win. Here on the Jenny Beth Show, we're going to help you do exactly that.
[00:12:15] Every show, we will break down the news, connect it to first principles, and give you specific, effective ways to take action. Not just outreach, action. And I am so glad you're here on this journey with us to do it. So let's get to it. Welcome to the Jenny Beth Show. Welcome back to the Jenny Beth Show.
[00:12:44] As a fragile ceasefire is standing down in a president who says Iran will no longer exist if pushed, but also fraud, waste, and abuse happening. And that is what's next with Dr. Ross coming to the show. Thank you for being on today as more than 1 million Americans who are enrolled in Obamacare with no Social Security numbers are on file. We have our HHS Secretary, RFK Jr., and the CMS Administrator, Dr. Oz, dropping that number on Saturday.
[00:13:12] So joining us again, Dr. Jared Ross, the board-certified emergency physician, president of EMSEC LLC, and a man who has spent more than 25 years as a paramedic, a firefighter, SWAT team member, and ER doctor. Dr. Ross, thank you so much for your service. And thank you for being here on the Jenny Beth Show. Now, you work in the ER. You deal with insurance verification every single shift. When you heard over 1 million people are enrolled in Obamacare with no Social Security number on file,
[00:13:42] what is your first reaction as a practicing physician? Robert, thanks so much for having me on. You know, really shocked to hear that. We just keep seeing more fraud, waste, and abuse in health care and in social benefits being brought to light by this administration, whether that's by President Trump or by J.D. Vance. It's just shocking, the abuse here.
[00:14:09] And when we see this type of health care fraud, we really have three victims. We have the victim whose identity was stolen to bill for that care. We have the millions of other Americans who are on Medicare and Medicaid, Obamacare, who are not receiving their care because money is being diverted to this fraud. And then we have the third victim, which is you and me, the American taxpayer, who's footing the bill for all of this.
[00:14:40] Yes, it's really ridiculous. Over 1 million Obamacare enrollees with no Social Security number on file. It makes me mad. And the mechanism behind it is worth understanding for every American watching. So Dr. Oz and RFK Jr. described rogue brokers enrolling fake people in zero premium plans and collecting fees as a result. So walk us through how that scheme actually works at the point of care, and how does a fraudulent enrollment affect a real patient or a real-life emergency room?
[00:15:09] You know, again, regardless of whether this is Obamacare or Medicaid or Medicare, you know, fraud is impacting patients because it's diverting money away from health care, real health care that we can, real dollars that we can spend to take care of patients. And, you know, we're seeing, unfortunately, that a lot of this is exposing our most vulnerable patients. It's the indigent and poor, the elderly.
[00:15:37] We see a lot of this fraud, waste, and abuse in the hospice world. So people who are at the end of life, and they might not be receiving that end-of-life care. They might be being billed for home hospice, but that home hospice nurse is not actually coming in and providing that care. So this is a real problem. You know, I'm originally from California, and we've had massive issues with fraud there.
[00:16:03] I penned an op-ed last week in the Washington Examiner about the fraud, waste, and abuse in Minnesota. But this really isn't a red state or a blue state issue. Fraud is not a partisan issue. We see Florida cracking down. We see Ohio cracking down. And we really need to see a partnership between all 50 states and the federal government
[00:16:27] to crack down on fraud in health care and in other social safety net programs. That really should be a bipartisan issue. These startling numbers tell the full story. 5.6 million in proper enrollments at its peak and roughly $10 billion a year in taxpayer money. So the Biden administration reportedly dismantled the guardrails that would have flagged these enrollments earlier.
[00:16:50] From a physician's standpoint, what is the single most important verification requirement that should be non-negotiable before anyone receives a federal health care subsidy? You know, we need to be spending our health care dollars to take care of Americans. And I understand that we want to take care of the third world and send aid overseas. But we need to get our own house in order before we're taking care of others.
[00:17:17] And so whether that's sending money overseas or taking care of people who are here illegally or spending money on people that frankly don't exist, these ghost patients, it's just absolutely unacceptable. We need to rein in our health care costs. And, you know, we're working to improve the health of Americans. Look at Secretary RFK Jr. and the Maha movement.
[00:17:43] You know, today is Maha Monday at the State Fair in D.C., the Great American State Fair. I am just curious what the funnel cakes are made out of today. But we really need to work on taking care of Americans and making America healthy again before we take care of anyone else. Well, imagine how much money we'd be saving.
[00:18:06] So Maha Monday, it's great to have you, doctor, and also make it a Maha day every day as Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche just announcing 455 people charged in $6.5 billion worth of health care fraud schemes among the largest single-week health care fraud action on record in our nation's history. Now, the administration says it already has removed about 2.9 million fraudulent enrollees from these roles.
[00:18:32] Another 2.6 million remain. Is this the tip of the iceberg? And are we finally seeing some accountability for the American people? This is definitely the tip of the iceberg. You know, we have so many health care services. We think of health care as being administered in a hospital, but we have so much health care that we've tried to move out of the hospital setting, whether that's for patient ease and comfort to reduce the burden of transportation, but also because there's cost savings there.
[00:19:01] And the problem is that these sham providers know that if they are providing health care outside of the hospital setting, there's less scrutiny, less verification. So we're seeing these sham health care providers taking advantage of home health care services, companionship services, end-of-life services that take care of people in their own home. And that's where we're really seeing that abuse.
[00:19:27] And I think we're just going to see, you know, we're seeing what's coming out of Florida, as you mentioned, Ohio, California, Minnesota. This is just going to expand, and we're going to see this, I think, in all 50 states. Well, that's some positive light at the end of the tunnel. But if you're designing a program, Dr. Ross, for its integrity, specifically for Obamacare, from scratch, no legacy systems, no political constraints, what is the first thing you would require as a physician?
[00:19:57] You know, Obamacare greatly changed the landscape of American health care. And it did, you know, some good things, but unfortunately had a lot of negative impacts as well. And then we put on top of that the effects of COVID and attempts to widely expand health care. But I think what we really fail to acknowledge and to realize is that so much of someone's individual health care
[00:20:24] is based on their own personal responsibility. And I know that you and Jenny Beth are very big on personal responsibility. And I know that, you know, Secretary of RFK Jr. is very big on this. And we need to make sure that Americans are taking responsibility for their own health. You know, we need to see the end of cigarette smoking. We need to see a drastic reduction in alcohol consumption. We need to see safer and healthier foods.
[00:20:53] And people just need to be exercising. We can't be, as physicians, expected to take care of patients who are not taking care of themselves. And unfortunately, that's a great deal of what we're being asked to do. Oh, yes. Excellent point. As we go into our lightning round, Dr. Ross, if you're ready, 30 seconds or less. The left says requiring a Social Security number to enroll in Obamacare would deny coverage to vulnerable people. What do you say back? We have EMTAL, the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act,
[00:21:22] which requires anyone that presents to the emergency department to receive care and stabilization for any emergency. The emergency is defined by the patient. And this is a completely unfunded mandate that is covered by the hospital. So anyone that says that we don't have universal health care in this country is lying. They're not aware of the EMTALA Act, which was passed in the 80s. And what's the most dangerous thing about a health care system that cannot verify who is in it?
[00:21:52] You know, we don't know where medications are going. We don't know what's being diverted aside from money, right? Are controlled substances being diverted as well? And we're just not taking care of patients. If we don't have accountability for who's in our system, we don't know what our system is. Sounds like a lot of common sense. If Congress does not build a permanent fraud detection system into every federal program in five years, America might be lost.
[00:22:21] Am I wrong in saying that? No, I think you're right. We need to drastically cut our spending. And cutting out this fraud, waste and abuse is low-hanging fruit, right? There's absolutely no reason why you and I as taxpayers need to be subsidizing care for people that don't exist. These are fraudulent operators who are pocketing money for services they're not providing.
[00:22:48] We're not even talking about services that are unnecessary or of questionable benefit. This is care that is not being provided in the first place. Blatant fraud. Well, Dr. Jared Ross, thank you for joining us on Maha Monday. Hope you have a very happy 4th of July as we celebrate America's 250th birthday. Come back and see us soon on the Jenny Beth Show. Thanks so much, Robert. Thanks for having me on.
[00:23:13] And as we celebrate America's 250th birthday, here's what you can do right now. When President Trump's standing on that National Mall five days ago and stating that Venezuela is finished, the crowd went crazy. And then he said something about Iran. He said they will never have a nuclear weapon. That was Wednesday. By Saturday, Iran had tested the ceasefire. By Sunday night, both sides stood down.
[00:23:39] So here's what happened and what it means for your gas tank. You can see this map coming up right here of the Strait of Hormuz. About a fifth of the world's seaborne oil flows through that channel. The 60-day U.S.-Iran ceasefire was built on a memorandum of understanding, signed on June 17th, after talks in Switzerland led by Vice President Vance.
[00:24:03] And on June 27th, the U.S. forces struck Iranian targets, air defense, drone storage, coastal radar, after Iran acted against shipping in the strait. Now, Iran's IRGC then claimed it destroyed eight U.S. military facilities and faculties in Kuwait, Bahrain, and a U.S. official flatly denied that as a result. Nothing reached its target. No damage, no injury. Then on Sunday evening, both sides agreed to stand down.
[00:24:32] The U.S. official said that talks would continue as vessels would move freely throughout the strait. Now, technical talks are scheduled in Doha, and that is where we are right now. Now, the president made clear what the stakes are, and that is the retaliation line on the screen. And the White House Weekly Message framed it as Iran peace advances with oil near $70 a barrel. So here's what the two framings have been living with together.
[00:25:00] Now, over the weekend, you have this situation of actual exchanges in fire, the stand down held, and but calling this peace deal would be a stretch. So Ben Ferguson, in a bonus verdict feed episode this past weekend, and that was not the senator, but his co-host Ben Ferguson, put it quite well. This is an extremely fragile moment, not a lasting peace deal. So here's the number that matters for your July 4th weekend.
[00:25:28] Gas down about 13% month after month, and that is real money in your tank. A de-escalation buys that, and a breakdown reversing it overnight. So Tuesday's Doha talks are the next checkpoint, and Tea Party Patriots' actions' documented position is clear. Iran cannot be allowed to possess the world's deadliest weapon. Article 2 makes the president commander-in-chief. He does not need a permission slip to defend American ships in the Strait of Hormuz. It's really that simple.
[00:25:57] So you also have this president with big news this week. Three wins for the administration. Six to three rulings in a single week at the Supreme Court of the United States, handing the Trump administration three straight immigration victories, all with the same 6-3 breakdown. All over dissents from Justices Kagan, Sotomayor, and Jackson, including one that is going to change the situation in the Haitian community very quickly.
[00:26:25] Now, the biggest of the three, the court's emergency docket clearing the way for the administration's terminate the temporary protected status. This is for Haitians and Syrians. Justice Kagan dissented. Sotomayor and Jackson joined her in that. The court sided with the administration. Now, some Republicans are unhappy about this. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, John Kasich as well, the former governor of the Buckeye State, and the New York City mayor has signaled he will resist.
[00:26:55] Now, here is what Chip Royce said. To all of them, the temporary and forever does not mean the same thing. Generosity cannot be twisted into a permanent legal entitlement, and Tea Party Patriot agrees with the great congressman from Texas. Temporary means temporary. The rule of law applies to mayors, too. And Secretary Mullen, at 100 days at the Department of Homeland Security, deportations are, quote, way up.
[00:27:24] Now, 13 straight months of zero releases at the southern border. The court has validated the legal core of all of it. And one more note before we get to all of the other stories today, this important context for the 2026 midterms. Last week in New York City, Democrat Socialists-backed candidates swept the Democratic congressional primaries. Brad Lander knocked out two-term Congressman Dan Goldman in New York's 10th District.
[00:27:53] And at the Victory Party, the crowd chanted, you're next at House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Now, Speaker Johnson called them DSA communists who have published their insane agenda. And veteran Democrat strategist James Carville said it is time for Democrats to talk about, quote, schism. The hard left is not on the fringe of the Democrat Party no more. No, it is contesting the machinery.
[00:28:21] Voters everywhere need to understand what the agenda looks like under the Democrat Socialists of America. Now, an accountability note worth marking. John Bolton, the former national security advisor, pleaded guilty on June 26th to one count of willful retention of national defense information. Now, sentencing set for October 28th and a fine of roughly two and a quarter million dollars and pension forfeiture on the table.
[00:28:51] Now, when officials in positions of trust take classified material, there are consequences. And that is the rule of law working right here in America. And as we are excited for the amazing birthday that is 250 years of America now coming in five days on the 4th of July, this country will mark the most important anniversary in its entire history.
[00:29:17] The question before the United States Senate is simple. Will you pass the Save America Act, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, proof of citizenship to register and photo ID to vote before that birthday? Here is what you need to do. Call the Capitol switchboard right now, 202-224-3121. That's 202-224-3121.
[00:29:46] Tell Senator Thune, the leader in the Senate, not promises a written plan is needed to pass the Save America Act. And we will also go to the video interviewing those great patriots outside of President Trump's speech last week when we were in Washington, D.C. They want that Save America Act passed. They're from New Hampshire originally, which used to be, when I was growing up, the reddest of red states in the union. And now it's blue. And I went to a high school reunion and I asked, well, what happened?
[00:30:14] And a friend of mine who's a cop up there told me, he said, you know, you know, I hear a lot about Biden. This is a few years ago, he said, with the illegals. He goes, you know, you don't realize as soon as Obama got sworn in, the chartered buses started arriving at like 2, 3 in the morning and dumping off like 100 illegals night after night after night. So they flooded the states and then Democrats got a bit of a control. And then they pass a law. It is illegal at the polls to ask somebody if they are a citizen.
[00:30:43] So the illegals get to vote. Pass the Save America Act! Pass the Save America Act! Pass the Save America Act! Pass the Save America Act! Pass the Save America Act! Senator John Thune, this is we the people to the Capitol, to the Congress. Pass the Save America Act. You can visit Pass the Save America Act dot com to add your name to this great mission. Stick with us here on the Jenny Beth Show for a quick promo.
[00:31:10] On the other end, we'll celebrate more of America, what happened last week and the latest breaking news. I'm Robert McNeely. Joy to be with you on Maha Monday on this June 29th. You are the grassroots of America. You love this country. When you love something, really love it. The news doesn't just inform you, it fires you up. And you find yourself asking, how can I make a difference? That is exactly what this show is built to answer. Never, ever, ever, ever give up.
[00:31:40] We owe it to every American who has ever voted to make America great again. We owe it to our future selves. We owe it to this republic to stand tall, to stay active, and to be smart about how we spend our energy so that we can win. Here on the Jenny Beth Show, we're going to help you do exactly that. Every show, we will break down the news, connect it to first principles, and give you specific, effective ways to take action. Not just outrage, action.
[00:32:07] And I am so glad you're here on this journey with us to do it. So let's get to it. Welcome to the Jenny Beth Show. And welcome back to the Jenny Beth Show. An honor to be with you on this Maha Monday, where we're celebrating everything leading up to the 4th of July.
[00:32:36] We'd be remiss not to remember the giants in America as we celebrate this history. And some of these people, we don't know their names exactly. I was really struck by former Congressman Trey Gowdy at a recent black tie event where he spoke on sitting on the plane on the wings. Either time you go to Washington, D.C. On one side, those gorgeous monuments. We were just there celebrating all of that leading up to the 4th of July in the Great American State Fair.
[00:33:03] But sitting on the other side, Arlington National Cemetery. How many of us know the names of those who lie beneath those white crosses, those white stars of David, reminded of the millions who have sacrificed their lives, their treasures, their sacred honor to defend the United States of America? One came from my hometown. Her name was Captain Amy Sabota of Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
[00:33:27] She's remembered as a pioneering United States Air Force officer, accomplished athlete, a great volleyball player, one of the best to come out of the western suburbs of Chicago, and one of the first women to fly fighter aircraft in the United States Air Force. Born in 1967, she grew up in those western suburbs, again, in my hometown of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and went to my alma mater, Glen Bart South High School.
[00:33:51] She was an outstanding volleyball player, ultimately leading to the Air Force Academy, where she was a standout in 1989. A four-year volleyball letter winner. She was the team co-captain and the team's most valuable player. Now, her tenure remains among the program's career leaders in digs and service aces, if you're familiar with that great sport. After graduation, she went to pilot training and also becoming a T-37 instructor pilot
[00:34:21] before transitioning to the Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II. Now, Amy was among the first women qualified to actually fly these amazing machines. But sadly, on May 27, 1997, while serving us here in the United States with the 355th Fighter Wing at the Davis-Montham Air Force Base, Captain Sabota was killed during a nighttime training,
[00:34:51] an A-10 training mission over the Barium Goldwater Air Force Base in that range. And the accident investigation concluded that spatial disorientation likely contributed to that terrible accident. She logged more than 1,400 hours in jet aircraft, and she's widely recognized as the first female United States Air Force fighter pilot to die in the line of duty.
[00:35:19] Now, Captain Savota is remembered both for breaking barriers, as one of the Air Force's early female fighter pilots, and for her leadership, athletic achievements, and her service. And she is truly one of those great names coming from my hometown, Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and my alma mater of Glenbard South High School, where she is aptly remembered, but the whole country should honor her as we approach America's 250. Without heroes like Amy, we would not have the great country that we have today.
[00:35:48] So if you see anyone in uniform over these coming days, make sure you say hello. If you are of the honored veterans that can or active duty, salute those who are in uniform in your community, police, firemen to the paramedics, and those serving us abroad. Now, before we close, we want to honor also three federal wildland firefighters who gave their lives on June 27th, battling the Snyder Fire in western Colorado.
[00:36:14] Two more injured, and their names will be released pending family notification. We also honor their service, and in Venezuela, these twin earthquakes have struck on June 24th. This death toll is still rising, with hundreds confirmed dead. The United States search and rescue teams are on the ground, and our thoughts and prayers are with the Venezuelan people.
[00:36:37] Now, a real treat last week, before we saw President Trump speak at the kickoff of the Great American State Fair, we also had the opportunity to hear Christopher Macchio sing with the president's very own, the Marine Corps band, some great renditions of Ave Verum to Naysun Dorma, and also a fan favorite, and I'm sure you've heard it many different times with soloists and different singers and groups around the country. It's the great song, Alleluia.
[00:37:06] If you have that clip ready, we can play that from last week on The Mall. I heard there was a secret chord that David played, and it pleased the Lord, but you don't like this stuff for you.
[00:39:15] Hello, Christopher Macchio, the presidential tenor. What a show there with the president's very own, the Marine Corps band and choir, and the singing sergeants as well. And a shout out to technical sergeant Matthew Scallin. We performed in The Man of La Mancha all those years ago, doing an amazing job in the choir as well. A special treat for you viewers on The Jenny Beth Show. We have that very presidential tenor with us, Christopher Macchio today. My friend, good to see you.
[00:39:44] I mean, you knocked it out of the park last week. Tell us what it was like to be on the mall. A hot and humid night in Washington, D.C., which is apt for this time of year, but it was a showstopper as that B-2 flew over right after that beautiful rendition of Hallelujah. Well, you know, nobody really knows how to put on a better show than our president, of course. And, you know, one thing that struck me as a performer, I know that the timing can be kind of iffy with these things.
[00:40:11] And somehow they managed, they were coordinating with the conductor and the Department of War to make sure that those B-2 bombers flew over at the precise moment I hit my high notes. So I've never seen or been a part of choreography like that. So that was really, really a logistical tour de force. And so I was really honored to be a part of that.
[00:40:38] Well, Secretary Hegseth was not in the audience, so maybe he was in the command control room, making sure that all happened amongst some of our other remarkable military officials. Christopher, can you take us through your background? How did you end up being the presidential tenor? Because there's a friendship there with President Trump going back to his New York days, your New York days, and as you approach America 250, I mean, just talk to us about your musical prowess and the gift of music in the land of liberty.
[00:41:07] Well, you know, you used the right word. Music and whatever gift each of us has been endowed with by God, these are really special things that we have an obligation to share with our countrymen, with the world at large. And that's always the mentality I take with me onto the stage. And of course, my rapport and relationship with President Trump has grown over the last few years.
[00:41:35] I had the very solemn privilege of performing for his brother's funeral in 2020. And I had met him and performed, and he loved my voice before that. But I think that event in particular created a kind of emotional connection, solemn as the occasion may have been. And I was honored to be able to do that. His brother was also a really big fan of mine.
[00:42:02] And so that really meant a lot to be able to do that at that kind of moment of hardship. And since then, I've had a number of opportunities to share my voice with the nation and to be a part of these tremendous shows and displays of patriotism and pageantry that President Trump has become so well known for.
[00:42:27] And I have seen him and borne witness firsthand to him making on the fly changes and updates and additions to the program. And so it's just really, really surreal to watch him, to watch the master at work in real time and to see that happen. So it's a beautiful thing. It's a beautiful thing.
[00:42:54] Well, you coordinated and it goes off without any sense of any shortcomings by your standards, by his standards. And I did not know that you sang at Robert's funeral. So that's a really an amazing testimony to you and your personal friendship with the President of the United States. Christopher, you had a chance to really walk the fairgrounds there of our National Mall. Now that it's turned in 4th to 14th Street is now all an exposition like the World's Fair, like it used to be.
[00:43:24] And I think it's really a recall to what we studied in the golden era of musicals and opera, but also the agriculture too, the mineral rights, the things you hear about the policies that are in Washington, D.C. You're actually seeing it in each and every state, whether it's NASCAR to North Carolina. Sadly, they didn't get involved with this state fair like eight other states did, but the rest of them really showcasing some of their splendors, whether it's God-given or even man-made. Absolutely.
[00:43:54] I love the job that Brooke Rollins has been doing over at Agriculture. And, you know, each member of this cabinet is really, really committed to pursuing the President's agenda, which of course is ultimately the nation's agenda, America first, always. And it's really, really special to see that manifest along the National Mall,
[00:44:17] to see that represented in an old-timey kind of way, in a way that harkens back to our Gilded Age, our Golden Age. And as you've seen all across our nation's capital, we are committed to returning to the Gilded Age. I just got back from Italy this past Monday, just a week ago today. And I told the President in the Oval Office on Thursday, I said, you know, Mr. President,
[00:44:45] I just got back from Italy with the source of all of this larger-than-life grandeur. And no president but you would have the capacity and the will to manifest that kind of larger-than-life architecture across our nation, really, and especially in our nation's capital, as you're going to see, of course, with the ballroom. He was showing me the plans for that ballroom, all spread across his desk.
[00:45:12] And really, really just, you know, a special time to be an American. And I never thought we'd get a president like this, but I thank God each and every day that we did in Donald J. Trump. I do as well, my friend. I hope I get an invite to hear you sing at that great ballroom. It's 9,000 square feet. That's the game plan. The White House itself, only 5,500 square feet. So we're nearly doubling this thing, and it will ideally extend that guest list. So I hope my name gets on that there.
[00:45:42] It's going to be great. It's going to be great. And I'll see everybody also this Saturday, of course. I'll be on stage before the president makes his July 4th speech and before he launches the largest fireworks display in history. So we're looking forward to singing again this Saturday on our National Mall. Oh, we look forward to it so much as you were fantastic last week.
[00:46:07] It was just a real joy for the Tea Party Patriots action to be in the audience there, to be inspired. And as the president said later on that night and earlier on in our clips in the show, make sure you return to the mall for my speech because, as you said, Christopher, those fireworks will be out of this world 10 times bigger than the largest. And promises made, promises kept. I expect it to happen. Before we say goodbye and wish you, of course, a happy America 250 and toy, toy, toy to your
[00:46:36] performance on Saturday, walk us through for maybe a young performer because both of us studied this great art of opera, we took it into our careers. What about the student at home watching right now or the parent who may not be aware that you can actually study this in college and perhaps take it on the road and inspire countless people by using your God-given talent behind your voice? Well, I can tell you that it always benefits.
[00:47:01] It's always beneficial to study the art form to interpretation, you know, some of the rudiments of music so that you have a mental framework for all of this. But I also really strongly believe that at the end of the day, aside from all of that, you know, the fund of knowledge that you draw upon from a technical standpoint, that you must keep the motivation pure in your heart that you really do want to share your God-given gift with the world.
[00:47:32] And so many, too many of my colleagues have forgotten that or tend to forget that sometimes they make it about ego, make it about themselves. So my best piece of advice is to really always make the audience the center of your focus, the generosity of an artist to give and move that crowd. That is really the number one thing that not only will lead to success, but also lead you to personal fulfillment through your career.
[00:48:01] And we are moved by your voice as President Reagan reminded us, if you don't care who gets the credit, it's truly amazing what you can achieve. And you're doing just that. It's a beautiful gift of music. Christopher Macchio, the presidential tenor. I hope everyone can go see him on Saturday. In case you didn't see him last week on Wednesday, but regardless, we'll see you again, my friend. Thank you for joining us on The Jenny Beth Show. Thank you so much, and God bless you for what you're doing.
