Oklahoma Puts Voter ID in Its Constitution & a Judge Blocks Ohio 39 Days Out | Washington, McNeily

[00:00:00] Tuesday night in two states 900 miles apart Americans got two different answers on the same question. In Oklahoma voters themselves wrote photo identification into the state constitution by a 55% margin so no future legislature can take it back with a simple majority vote.

[00:00:17] In Ohio, a federal judge appointed by President Bill Clinton blocked the state from requiring proof of citizenship at DMV offices 39 days before Ohio's registration deadline. Americans want only Americans voting in American elections and to ensure that the people who vote are indeed who they say they are. Big government socialists are blocking the will of the American people in the Senate and in courtrooms.

[00:01:07] So here's what we're going to do today. First, we're going to start right there on the places the Save America Act fight has actually moved while Congress is home. Because Congress is not the only place where we can work to get only citizens voting and voter ID. State ballot measures, governors, the Trump administration and courtrooms are all weighing in on components of the Save America Act.

[00:01:30] On Monday, the Supreme Court let President Trump's mail-in voting order take effect six to three. And then 23 states and the District of Columbia turned right around and sued again two days later. And then we're going to go overseas. Three things happened this week and they're all kind of point in the same direction. The Treasury Department sanctioned three far left networks under a counterterrorism order. The one and that's a counterterrorism order written after September 11th.

[00:02:00] Also, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation told its own journalists not to call September 11th a terrorist attack. And yesterday, Secretary Rubio temporarily shut down every immigrant visa interview in the world. We will close that section by bringing it all back home. Then we're going to talk about big government watching you and big government socialists in general.

[00:02:24] There are more than 120,000 license plate cameras in 49 states scanning 20 billion vehicles a month. Senator Josh Hawley has opened an investigation into the company that owns them. California wants a one-time 5% tax on the assets of 250 billionaires. And Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rejoined the Democratic Socialists of America this month.

[00:02:52] And we're going to close out the show talking about Meta, which just settled with 29 seat attorney generals over what the platform, what their platforms did to children and possibly getting them addicted to social media. I think that there's a real wind buried in that settlement. So it's something, but I also am a little bit concerned about part of it. So we'll talk about that at the end of the hour. Right now, I'm going to bring in Robert McNeely, who is my co-host, and we're going to start talking about these issues.

[00:03:23] Robert, thanks so much for being on the show. I appreciate you, Jenny Beth. Absolutely. So let's first start with what is going on in Ohio. A federal judge temporarily blocked Ohio's requirement for voters to provide proof of citizenship when they're registering to vote. The Department of Motor Vehicle type locations. You ran for Georgia House yourself just a couple of years ago.

[00:03:47] What do you think it actually does to a campaign when a judge change judge changes the rules just a few days before ballots are going to be going out? And I guess, to be fair, it's a few weeks in this case, but it's not it's not that far away. Well, it becomes extraordinarily frustrating because what you're trying to do here is a turnout election. And here in the midterms, perhaps even more of a turnout than even the presidential because it's a low propensity election.

[00:04:15] You have less people coming to the polls just to begin with. And that's why President Trump said with the MAGA movement, too big to rig. So it behooves state local campaigns to really turn out their support systems there and go after those who they know will likely be agreeing with them, but not necessarily going to vote in every single election.

[00:04:37] So it causes these complications. And once you're down ballot as well, it makes it even more difficult to get your message out there for the correct people. So it's sad to see that there are some impediments happening to what should just be sound constitutional law and practice. And that's why we need these parameters. And that's why we've been pushing so hard to pass the Save America Act ultimately. Yeah, that's exactly right. The judge in Ohio is a Clinton appointee. The case was brought forward by Mark Elias's firm.

[00:05:07] And that tells a lot of the story. But I think that it also the judge was saying that there is concern that this overreaches what the National Voter Registration Act allows. And frankly, that was the whole reason that we began working on the Save America Act in the first place. Remember, let me just give give everyone a little bit of of a brief history about how the Save America Act began.

[00:05:35] Cleta Mitchell and I were on a coalition conference call with Senator Mike Lee. Cleta was talking about issues in Arizona. And I asked Mike Lee to to write a bill to address those issues. So here's exactly what was going on in Arizona and still goes on today. They passed a statewide referendum to require proof of citizenship to register to vote. And they did this after the National Voter Registration Act was enacted into law.

[00:06:03] Remember, that's what we would call the motor voter law. The MVRA is a motor voter law. So they they went through in their border state. They passed a statewide referendum saying, you know, we just want to make sure that people who are voting here are actually indeed citizens of the United States. It got challenged that that proposition got challenged. It went all the way to the Supreme Court. And the Supreme Court said, I think this was in 2014.

[00:06:32] The Supreme Court said, well, you have to accept the voter registrations from the motor voter law from the National Voter Registration Act, because it's a federal law and federal law is supreme law of the land. So the way that Arizona dealt with this problem was that they now have what is called a bifurcated ballot.

[00:06:53] If you vote in Arizona and you have shown proof of citizenship, then you get to vote for president, Senate, Congress, governor, lieutenant governor, all the way down the ballot, all the way to the lowest level, which in the state of Arizona is the precinct committee man.

[00:07:11] If, however, in this border state that has now become a swing state for presidential elections, if you have not shown proof of citizenship, you still get to vote for president, Senate and Congress. I think that is crazy. And it just is really messed up. It's why we asked Senator Mike Lee to write the Save Act in the first place.

[00:07:35] Let's just require proof of citizenship when registering to vote, period, for everyone and clean up that that little loophole in the National Voter Registration Act. Right now, when you register to vote using the the motor voter law, you check a box affirming you are a citizen rather than showing proof of citizenship.

[00:07:58] So this judge, I haven't read the full case, but it's my understanding that the judge has pointed back and said, well, you have to do what the National Voter Registration Act requires. So you can't step out of line with that. I think that this case should be challenged and taken back to the Supreme Court.

[00:08:17] If it is against the law for noncitizens to register to vote, it should be against the law for noncitizens to vote. It should be against the law and it is against the law for them to register to vote. Then why not make sure they are allow states to make sure they're not inadvertently registering noncitizens?

[00:08:43] And I think there is plenty of nefarious activity when it is related to elections. And I also think that there are some people in some cases that have no idea they've been registered. They're noncitizens. They just went to get a driver's license. They're here legally. And then it puts them in legal jeopardy because they get this voter voter registration card. They might think they're allowed to vote and they're not. And that can affect their ability to even become a citizen.

[00:09:11] So that's kind of my point on it. But, Robert, what do you think? Doesn't this just reinforce the need to to pass the Save America Act? Oh, yes, Jenny Beth. And you broke it on this show just weeks ago with what was happening in Alaska on their own elections website.

[00:09:31] I mean, it's egregious to think through signing up just to work there or to be a legal resident that some noncitizens in that process may get a voter registration card. And it says verbatim on the elections website in Alaska that that does not mean that you can vote. You need to return that. So there's at least an admittance to that. It's potentially happening there.

[00:09:58] And even in a state that's less than 800000 people, a few votes here and there can make a massive difference with slim majorities in the United States Congress, especially with an at large seat in Alaska that in essence is a third senator. And just a point of personal privilege with all of that, when I was in the mainstream media in Anchorage, Alaska,

[00:10:20] at my residence, three different ballots were mailed to me of prior residents and owners where I was at in my townhome. I mean, it's unbelievable to think about that. I could have I did a whole story on it. I could have, in essence, had all of those filled out. Of course, I would not have done that. It's illegal. But the the Anchorage clerk under hot water at the time in 2021 when it came to municipal elections,

[00:10:46] because in a purple city like Anchorage, Alaska, both Republicans and Democrats did not trust the process. No, the and I think the problems you're pointing out right there in Alaska are exactly why it's so important to get the provisions of the Save America. We've been discussing, plus the what we've been focused on over the last few months is a House pass version. It is voter ID and proof of citizenship to register to vote.

[00:11:14] So President Trump, of course, wants it more than that. He wants to also include provisions to ensure that there can't be problems with mail-in ballots and then no boys and girls sports and no gender, so-called gender surgery on on minors. The stuff you were just pointing out about the mail-in ballots is exactly why President Trump is right.

[00:11:38] The mail-in ballot situation is a real problem, especially if the states are not going to do the job they should be doing to clean up the voter rolls. Yes, and I talk about this often. The Carter Presidential Center is right here in Atlanta, Georgia. Nearly half of that amazing museum is based in election integrity. And it started with President Carter way back when he was a state senator running in his hometown of Plains, Georgia.

[00:12:07] If it wasn't for a corrupt county commissioner and the elections for him down there in his hometown, he would probably have not went on to become a state senator to a governor and then to president of the United States. Of course, later on in his years with the former first lady working for that election integrity across the world. The most important part about this, roughly 20 or so years ago, you have the Carter-Baker Commission.

[00:12:34] Of course, James Baker, the former Secretary of State, a Republican, and the 39th President of the United States, Democrat, coming together with that group. And they found that the fraud, waste, and abuse that we're experiencing financially here across the country, at least when it comes to elections, can heavily be found in the mail-in ballot process. So I think most Americans of goodwill can agree that there should be a reason to request the mail-in ballots like there was just a decade ago or even two decades ago.

[00:13:03] And that's mostly meant for our military and those working overseas. And that there are so many opportunities now to show up in person. And those parameters are protected based on countless different laws right here in the United States. You're exactly right about that. All right, let's move a little further west to Oklahoma. They put voter ID on the ballot for the state constitution, and it passed. We've got 36 states that require some sort of voter ID.

[00:13:33] What do you think of this model of enshrining voter ID into state constitutions to ensure that it is baked in so a legislature can't overturn it, and also to try to stand against whatever another Congress who may be against voter ID might do? What do you think of that kind of strategy, Robert?

[00:13:55] I think it's brilliant, and I think it's really the fabric of our constitutional system that the states are laboratories for democracy to come up with good ideas. And perhaps if they come up with really bad ideas, then the Congress can behoove themselves to move on something in order to make it national law. But I think it's fantastic to have these state legislatures, especially the common sense coming out from the heartland in Oklahoma, to tackle these very issues.

[00:14:24] And I would encourage others to take it up because I think most voters want that. We've seen that with the polling. We've seen that with our efforts to pass the Save America Act. People want Republican, Democrat, independent alike election integrity and to make sure that their vote actually counts. You're you're right about that. So let me go back just a little bit back to mail-in ballots. I should have. I have this that I'm going to read.

[00:14:50] It's something I wrote up kind of summarizing what is going on in the Supreme Court right now. And I should have mentioned it before I asked that that last question. But the Supreme Court issued a 6-3 ruling on August the 24th, allowing President Donald Trump to proceed with key portions of its executive order requiring restricting mail-in ballots ahead of the November midterms.

[00:15:14] The decision lifted a lower court injunction in 23 states in Washington, D.C., but it did not rule on the order's underlying legality, leaving the legal battle still open.

[00:15:30] The ruling permits the Department of Homeland Security to compile federal citizenship lists for seats and allows the United States Postal Service to proceed with rulemaking for mail ballot designs, including specific envelopes and barcode requirements. The Obama-appointed judge, Idrina Talwani, I think I've got that right. I think that I'm pronouncing her name right.

[00:15:58] Idrina Talwani vacated the existing injunction in the League of Women Voters case based on the Supreme Court's stay of the injunction in a parallel California versus Trump case on Monday night. But both involved challenges to the executive order, not just on the implementation of the order that has now yielded, not just on the implementation of that order, which has now yielded a final rule from the post office.

[00:16:27] But they haven't ruled on the rule itself. So there's been no judgment on the rule. They just allowed the rulemaking to continue. Judge Talwani specifically suggested that a new injunction would likely follow in short order once the plaintiffs in the League of Women Voters case filed an amendment complaint challenging the final rule rather than just the executive order. So I think we're going to see more suits related to that.

[00:16:54] We know that 23 states and the District of Columbia already have gone back and sued again. So we'll keep watching that. The president is doing the right thing, trying to make sure that only American citizens are getting the ballots. And I think that it makes sense to have a whole of government approach with that.

[00:17:15] And I also don't think it makes any sense to allow the post office to become complicit in in allowing illegal activity to happen, whether the activity is deliberate or simply a mistake. No matter what, non-citizens are not allowed to vote in our federal elections. OK, that kind of just gives an update, putting a bow on what you were describing happening in Alaska, Robert. Let's talk about some things volunteers can do right now to secure elections.

[00:17:45] Most people mix up poll watcher and poll worker. Could you explain the difference in the two and what we need more of right now at this point in time? So each separate precinct probably needs, you know, their own needs right there. It will vary. But the poll worker is the one really administrating and helping with the elections to verify the voter registration, to actually hand out a ballot. A fun thing I used to do back in my home state of Illinois in the Prairie State.

[00:18:14] You do not need that voter ID. Unlike 36 other states, they are now requiring it. So I always walk in with my driver's license or my passport just to make sure they knew. And I didn't want to put them through anything uncomfortable, but they would say, I can't look at it. I can't look at it. They were going by their training, which I completely understand. But again, even though they had paper ballots, I wanted to make sure that they knew it was me instead of simply a signature.

[00:18:39] Because the poll watcher is the one from the Republican or the Democrat Party, in some cases independent parties as well, to come in and observe the situations that may be happening. So the poll worker directly helping the voter there, the watcher, cannot actually interact with the voter themselves in the precinct. But they can observe what's happening that day and report back to attorneys or their respective parties what exactly is happening.

[00:19:08] Another point with that Illinois election cycle, there were times where you'd have very closely contested races, especially locally. And the signature was the only verification. And it was a balance of times with these set attorneys where you have to watch about which ones to challenge and which ones not to challenge. So when it comes to election integrity, once again, makes a lot of sense to have a photo ID like we use for a plethora of everyday usage right here again in the United States.

[00:19:38] Yes, it's so important to become a poll watcher or a poll worker. And Robert, you know, the conservative movement keeps coming back to this every single election cycle, urging people to either watch the polls or work the polls. And I want people watching this to understand we need you to go do one of these jobs. And we do keep coming back to it. And you're probably if you've never done it, you're probably sick of hearing about it. And if you have done it, you understand how important it is.

[00:20:06] And if you're doing even more than that when it comes to securing our elections, and there are many people who are across the country, I applaud you. And I know that election integrity does not stop with the Save America Act or with poll working and poll watching. But we need people to step up and work the polls. We need them to watch the polls. And I urge everyone in the audience to go to help at the polls dot com and sign up to be a poll watcher or a poll worker today.

Robert, the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned three far-left networks under an executive order this week. And it's a counterterrorism executive order. Secretary Bissett said specifically, far-left extremists, their fronts and their enablers should be on notice.

[00:21:36] We will bring the full weight of our economic tools to bear. What do you think is going on on that? And why did we see that happen right now? Well, I think it's a response to what we've seen here in America with far-left violence over the course of the last couple of decades, especially in recent memory. And this is a reaction as well to the Biden administration. If we remember just a few short years ago, it was always the 46th president stating that it's white supremacists that we have to be afraid of.

[00:22:06] Although the intelligence data coming from the CIA, the FBI, and other domestic anti-terrorism units seem to show otherwise when it came to threats from what was actually happening from far-left radical groups, including radical Islamic terrorist groups, not only around the world, but here at home.

[00:22:27] And as we approach the 25th anniversary of 9-11, those of us who are around to see it and recall it just as if it was yesterday, I am thrilled that the administration is moving forward on this to actually target those who would want to cause harm to America domestically and abroad. I am very glad that the president is doing this. And I think that there is also one other thing that just happened.

[00:22:52] Let me look that, yes, the Justice Department and the FBI have seized platforms used by China state-sponsored hackers to target U.S. critical infrastructure. So that happened yesterday. The administration is making sure that we can know that they are standing up to terrorists. And I think it is really important that we have an administration who is looking to do that.

[00:23:22] As we talk about what's happening with terrorists, one of the things that I read this morning that really concerns me, we're approaching now the 25th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks in America.

[00:23:39] And yet the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, senior director of Journalistic Standards, sent a memo to staff telling reporters and editors not to refer to September 11th, to the September 11th terrorist attacks as terrorist attacks. They only want to say it's hijackers or 9-11 attacks. Robert, you have been broadcasting professionally outside of this podcast.

[00:24:08] What do you make of that kind of directive? And what do you think that it says about the media when they want to rewrite history and not even adhere to the normal standard definition of terrorist? Somebody who takes hostage airplanes, turns those airplanes into weapons and kills thousands of people, that's a terrorist attack. They did it to try to terrorize Americans. And it worked. And we should be calling it what it is.

[00:24:36] And our Canadian neighbors should be doing the same. It's so disturbing, Jenny Beth, to think that in the media, in the English-speaking world, and we've seen it accelerated ever since COVID, that you have a clear agenda playing out when these organizations are supposed to be nonpartisan. And it's so bothersome, as we've been such close friends with the Canadians for countless years.

[00:25:00] In fact, as the president has mentioned, so much of what he's working on doing is because they get a free line of defense thanks to the United States. So we'll see how that relationship continues to grow. But as you said, it changed American life. It changed the Western world. It led to the Patriot Act, which was highly controversial.

[00:25:22] But I have some suspicion here, as you mentioned earlier, with the Chinese hacking and what that government is attempting to do in the cyber warfare happening now in the 21st century. We know the prime minister, Mark Carney, in Canada has pledged that he's going to do more work with the Chinese Communist Party. I mean, this man is absolutely a globalist. And we thought it would be better post-Justin Trudeau.

[00:25:48] But it seems as if this man is as much of a communist and committed to far-left principles as the former prime minister is. And it's deeply disturbing because that's why I really behoove people. I ask them, watch what you're scrolling through. Watch what's influencing you, even on Instagram and these social media sites, because Russian influences, Chinese influences, other bad actors around the world, they want to influence the minds, the hearts of the American people.

[00:26:15] And I'm telling you, like the Canadian people, we are much more alike. But it's their governments sometimes that are trying to steer them a different direction. You're so right about that. And I think that it's very hard for Americans to understand what propaganda really is like, because we've been insulated from it for so much of our lives. But it definitely is something that we have to consider when we're scrolling through our social media feeds,

[00:26:40] when we're looking at what videos are being fed to us through whatever platform it may be. It may not always be people in America who have written what you're reading. It may not. And if you're getting extremely emotional about it, it's a good idea to just take a step back and go, who wrote this? Why did they write it? What is what what does it benefit them for writing, writing this? And where did they where did they get their information?

[00:27:09] Are they getting it from a more legit news source? And even if it's not a legit news source, who is a news source? And what is what is the leaning of the news source? We know that the mainstream media, they're legit news sources, but but they may not be. They certainly have their own agenda. But we just need to be able to understand that and be wise to it. And I'm really glad you brought that point up, Robert.

[00:27:36] Yes. And I have to hearken back to one of our founding fathers. It was either Thomas Jefferson or Benjamin Franklin. Perhaps they had a conversation over it. But they said, if you do not read the newspaper, you are uninformed. But pending what you are reading from said media source or newspapers circulating at the time, you may be misinformed. So it's always important as the journalism used to teach, at least here stateside, who, what, where, why, when.

[00:28:03] And to dive into those questions, always to look through that lens. And that's been happening ever since the birth of our nation and perhaps the most famous screen name and handle, if you will, as we have the X handles now. Of course, Benjamin Franklin with poor Richard's almanac to get his message out there. As he, of course, even feared for mostly the people surrounding him, his dear family and friends,

[00:28:27] even going back to Great Britain, who would be persecuted as a result of helping to lead a revolution that has led to the greatest nation we have ever known. Yes. And when you're talking about that, I want to come back to that in a little while when we're talking about meta at the end of the show and the ability to have free speech anonymously.

[00:28:49] Okay. One other thing happening internationally, the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, suspended every immigrant visa interview worldwide so consular offices can be retrained on a public rule change. Now, it comes right after a federal judge struck down his 75-country visa freeze, which this federal judge said was patently unlawful.

[00:29:15] So what do you think of this move from the Secretary of State? Is it a workaround? And why is it important that we're making sure that they're trained properly when it comes to interviewing who's going to get a visa and who's not? Well, I think it's right under the Article 2 of our Constitution, the executive branch doing its job. And kudos once again to Secretary of State Marco Rubio for seeing to it, because there's precedent for all this,

[00:29:42] dating all the way back to the Immigration Act of 1882, then passed by the 43rd Congress and signed by President Chester A. Arthur. Now, this judge, who I believe is doing the workaround there and going outside of his Article 3 duties, would probably hearken to a time where you did have some anti-Chinese immigrant sentiment that was being played out in the courts during that time,

[00:30:09] but also ultimately preventing illegal work happening right here in the United States over concerns of fraud, waste and abuse and spying dating back to the 19th century. Of course, that has been refined since 1999 and even 2019 with that specific law. But as I see it here, the secretary simply going by the letter of the law and actually executing, protecting those laws per his constitutional duty. OK, let's let's bring it back to America.

[00:30:38] So we're talking about things overseas. Let's take a look at both what Senator Schmidt said this week, and then we're going to talk about something that Congressman Chip Roy did. So first, let's look at this clip with Senator Schmidt. Yeah, thank God, Laura. We have a president. We have an administration that is saying enough is enough, right? America is a nation. It's our nation. It's our home. It's not some global refugee camp. And it really—I can't believe it's taken this long, but we finally have a president who's cracking down on this,

[00:31:07] because we've not just had an illegal immigration problem, what we saw under the Biden years. We also have a legal immigration problem. The abuse that we see with H-1B or the OPT or a lot of the asylum claims come from these temporary visas, the president is now saying, you know, enough is enough of that, and we're going to crack down on it. And so I think this is part of the central plank, Laura, that he ran on when he came down the escalator back in 2016. And so for 10 years now, no president has done more to take on these issues than President Trump. And this is the next phase of that.

[00:31:37] I think we want to see more of this. And finally, we'll have a president that's serious about taking on this immigration thing. And by the way, the Democrats, they don't know what to do because they want to flood this country with illegal immigrants. They want these asylum claims, which 9 out of 10 are bogus anyway. They want that to continue. It's a power play. But again, thank God the president's acting here. Robert, what did you think of those comments? Well, I'm grateful for Senator Schmidt and those, and Howley as well, his counterpart from the great state of Missouri,

[00:32:06] the show me state. And they have two senators who show us the way they're leading on this in the Congress and leading on what President Trump brought up, which was allegedly not an issue. But back in 2015, coming down that golden escalator, running on immigration reform, because what has been discovered now over the course of the last 11 years is this fraud, waste and abuse. And the president talks about it almost endlessly at times as a broken record.

[00:32:32] But I'm glad he does to get it through some thick minds out there who would rather have their faces in the sand and not really listening to what's happening in America. We'd be living like kings financially with all these hidden taxes with the fraud, waste and abuse, and simply taking what's happened in Minnesota with the illegal Somali efforts and all of that coming through child care and great journalists on the ground like Nick Shirley, who are exposing this.

[00:32:59] So my question is for people like Governor Gavin Newsom, why would you sign something called the Stop Nick Shirley Act, which first of all is against the First Amendment and against free speech, but also what are you trying to hide? We have a major party in the United States that seems to want to usurp everything that is constitutional and fair and the rule of law, the very fabric which binds the foundation of this country, right, left and center.

[00:33:26] And my big question for them leading up to these midterms is why would you want to do that? And that's why I'm glad we exist here at the Jenny Beth Show to expose this, but also to ask those important questions that the mainstream media likes to ignore. Okay, the last thing for this segment, I want you to chime in on this. It's a letter that Congressman Chip Roy yesterday sent to federal officials, including the Attorney General, Secretary of War and Secretary of Treasury.

[00:33:55] And he is raising concerns about an Islamic development being built about 20 miles from a military base in San Antonio. And quoting what we had up just then from the Daily Signal, he said specifically that he is requesting that members of President Trump's cabinet look into the Islamic Center's planned community

[00:34:20] and examine whether any criminal, civil or financial or immigration statuses have been violated in its effort to fulfill the campus expansion project. The letter was obtained by the Daily Signal. It was sent to the ones I just mentioned, Attorney General, Besant, the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, and then to Scott Besant, the Secretary of Treasury.

[00:34:47] So, Robert, what do you think of this with Chip Roy, Congressman Roy, sending a letter saying, I want you to investigate this and make sure all the laws are being followed, and if they're not, figure out what action you can take. Well, I like this proactive response by Chip Roy out of Texas. I'm very sad to see he will not be serving in Congress, at least for the next term, as he was unsuccessful in his run for Texas Attorney General and also a big loss for the Lone Star State.

[00:35:14] But I feel we will continue to hear from him in years to come because he's been one of the biggest advocates for the realization that there is this unholy triumvirate trying to take over the United States, one of it being Sharia law. Of course, communism, which has been really brought into the headlines thanks to Michigan candidate Abdul Al-Sayed

[00:35:35] and his absolutely ridiculous comments or really getting away from the actual substance of what Jesse Waters was asking him the other night on a whole plethora of topics, including the fact that he believes that circumcision is actually castration. So I think he has to go back to medical school as he's alleging that he did study biological sciences.

[00:35:58] Of course, the final rung of this unholy triumvirate globalism and this human secularist thought that seems to be plaguing us right here in 2026 America. But really what binds this all together? It's they need a ruling class. What would that ruling class be? Sharia law. That's that's why it's the antithesis of our constitutional Republican principles of free speech, of freedom of assembly,

[00:36:26] freedom to worship or to not worship under communities like this. Potentially, you're not welcome if you're not a Muslim, if you're an infidel. And there's a reality to that that's been practiced throughout the world and right here at home with even the honor killings that took place, that father killing his two beautiful twins because of Sharia law just a decade ago in Texas. So, again, kudos to Chip Roy for being bold, for being a leader. And we're going to miss him in Congress.

[00:36:55] And I know he'll be around. I hope he puts his name on a ballot once again. I hope so, too. He is an amazing member of Congress, and I'm glad that he is doing this. And I'm sure that there are things that he can do even outside of elected office to continue to stand for our liberty. And I know he's not going to back down from it. [00:38:16] Then for a poll watcher, you normally have to do that through your local county party. And that is something that happens where you just go in and you observe and you watch. So you're not working the poll, but you're observing and watching what is happening at the polls. To do that, you normally have to call the party of your choice. If you're Republican, you'd call your local county Republican party.

[00:38:44] If you're a Democrat, you'd call your local Democrat party or central committee, whichever it may be called in your area, and tell them you want to be a poll watcher. [00:40:27] And also Stacey Washington, who hosts Stacey on the right on Sirius XM and also Stacey Washington now on Salem News. Stacey, thanks so much for joining me today. Thank you for having me. Okay, so we're going to switch topics. We've been talking about things that are happening internationally, and we've talked about the Save America Act. Now we are going to go into some of the things that are happening domestically.

[00:40:54] Stacey, let's go to California because there's something that is happening in 68 days that I want people to be aware of. California has Proposition 40 on the ballot on November 3rd, and this is a one-time 5% tax on the assets of billionaires.

[00:41:15] The co-founder of Google has spent $102 million against it through the Building a Better California group. This is what Democratic socialists do, big government socialists. They tax, and they tax, and then they tax them more. They can never tax enough. They don't want people to be successful. They don't want people to be rich, and they think that anyone who earns money, that they are all entitled to it.

[00:41:43] But what really concerns me about this article when I was reading it is that there are 250 billionaires in California. So the whole state population against 250 people. What do you think of this proposition, Stacey? And how do you think it is going to affect the state of California and people who might have wealth who may choose never to move there because of it? Well, you made some excellent points against what this is.

[00:42:13] But I have to point out that they're talking about taxing the net worth, which is a number that moves every day. Like, I remember when everyone announced that Elon Musk was a trillionaire, and then within six months he was like, well, not a trillionaire anymore because the value of one of his companies, the stock went down, and the majority of his net worth is a projection based on holdings that he has. So stocks and companies that can change.

[00:42:39] So they're talking about taxing unrealized gains, which is what happens to us every year when we pay our tax on property that we own, land, real estate, because they're taking the value of that based on what other property has sold. But your property might not be worth that when you decide to sell it, but you still pay tax on that. They're taking that concept and applying it to the net worth, which is unrealized.

[00:43:02] Yes, you can borrow against your net worth, but that's a gamble the bank takes based on your borrowing history and your other attendant realities. So this is an idiotic idea on their part. And the worst of it, Jenny Beth, as I was listening to you describe this, is maybe I could have some sympathy for it or some possible, like, let's try it. If the government of California had a great record in taking money and using it to eliminate poverty and homelessness, things like that.

[00:43:30] What they've done so far in California is blow through a surplus that Gavin Newsom came into when he became the governor. He promised to end homelessness in less than 20 years. I think he said 10 years at first. He has blown through the surplus. They've been running a deficit the whole time he's been governor. Homelessness is worse than it's ever been there. And that's only one issue. They don't have water in their reservoirs. Overall, they are in a horrible position. And this is because they don't do anything good with the money that they have already. So why should a billionaire give them more?

[00:43:58] I would be packing my bags to move or I guess billionaires have people to pack for them. Yeah. Yeah. But I would be getting out of the state. I just wouldn't move there in the first place at this point. And I worry about people who do. Robert, one of the things that they're trying to say and do to make to sell this proposition is to say that 90 percent of the money will go to the state health care program. And they're trying to turn it into a health care story.

[00:44:27] How do you think that's going to affect people when they go go to vote? I just think it's just big government socialism. That's that's what this is. Well, we've seen how awful they've been when it comes to spending the state's assets, specifically under Governor Newsom.

[00:44:43] You look at his predecessors from Davis to Schwarzenegger and even going back to Governor Brown, who had big regulations, but at least left somewhat of a surplus for all of these three gentlemen. And I say that term loosely and lightly, especially when it comes to Governor Gavin, Gavin Newsom, as President Trump puts it. But we know how they have drained the state's money and their resources.

[00:45:11] It's really terrible to watch the homeless crisis happening there and all of these programs that have led to not only the waste, fraud and abuse, but despair for the residents of the Golden State. That's why I'm so impressed with Scott Hilton and his Cal-efortable approach to this. I mean, really, I think this is the most important election for Californians in a long, long time, perhaps since Ronald Reagan was the governor.

[00:45:38] It is a very important election for California. I I worry, though, the way that they do mail in ballots and they just keep counting and counting and counting until they get the result they want. So it's very important. Everyone should go vote and they should do everything they can to vote big enough that they could outrig any possible rigging of the election.

[00:46:01] Yeah. OK, so, Stacey, let's go to the senator from your state, Josh Hawley, who wrote to the chief executive of Flock Safety. Flock cameras are all all the the rage right now. Everyone is talking about them. And Senator Hawley said that the company has assembled in Senator Hawley's words and unprecedented, unprecedented national surveillance network.

[00:46:27] There are more than one hundred and twenty thousand cameras in forty nine seats scanning. This number is just shocking to me. Twenty billion vehicles every single month. And the only thing standing between our information they are collecting is the company's own internal policy with with what happens to to that information. So what do you think of what Senator Hawley is doing? And let me just tell you one other interesting thing about it.

[00:46:57] We also have Senator Bernie Sanders right now who has posted stop flock, stop artificial intelligence, mass surveillance. And his post when we checked early this morning, I think it had around 14000 likes. So even Democratic socialists are are saying that they are against flock cameras as well. What do you think is going on with this, Stacey? All right. So two separate issues.

[00:47:23] First of all, Democrats do want to weaponize the backlash against our AI and especially the data centers. They want to weaponize that and have something to ride into 2028 on. They're trying it for the midterms. They have already sent out their money in there. They're operatives to local state governments like here in St. Louis County. They had a planning meeting for artificial intelligence and data centers. We don't have any hyper centers coming here, but we do have some pretty sizable ones. I think one is is being brought here by Google and it's going to bring a lot of jobs and possibly some infrastructure.

[00:47:51] If our governor and our state elected officials actually treat these people like businesses that need to give us something in exchange for putting something they want in our community. So I see these as a huge opportunity. I'm really glad to see that Missouri is a state where they want to put a couple of data centers. There are almost 6000 data centers in America already. So the opposition to them seems a little late to me. And I think that's because it's driven by Chinese operatives who don't want America to be number one in artificial intelligence. But that being said, the flock cameras are a whole nother issue.

[00:48:20] And most people oppose surveillance unless they're a part of the entity that wants to surveil everyone and weaponize and monetize that data. So I love what Josh Hawley is doing here. And I just want to point out, there are a number of issues that Republicans, independents, Democrats, and even socialists will join together on. And not having your information collected against your will. Notice we've never had a referendum on this, never a vote.

[00:48:46] No local or state entity has asked its citizens, should we spend your public safety dollars on the police department budget, on flock cameras? This has not happened. And this is unprecedented in our country when we're going to implement something as huge as data collection of every license plate that passes by a camera. That would be something we would need to vote on. We have not. So it's an opportunity for us to finally find something to agree on since the transgenderism has split Americans into crazy and sane, good and evil.

[00:49:16] You know, it's really, it's been elucidating. But I have to say, Jenny, as you're describing this, it's a single issue that we could all join together on and stand up and say with a single voice as Americans, flock, no. We don't want it. We don't want it. Yeah, I think that's a really good tagline there, Stacey. Flock, no. And I appreciate Josh Hawley looking into this.

[00:49:44] And I appreciate the fact that my fellow Americans on the other side of the aisle also oppose these. I don't completely believe that these big government socialists really are, have a problem with government surveillance. After all, these are the same people who wanted us to snitch on our neighbors if they weren't wearing a mask. And they put hotlines up around the country to tell people how to rat out their neighbors for not wearing a mask outside.

[00:50:13] So now you've got flock cameras. I mean, if we'd had that during COVID, they wouldn't have had to worry about the hotline. So the cameras would have done it for them. Yeah, but they haven't figured out a way to make the cameras do what they want, which is surveil only the people that they want to surveil. Right now, flock cameras, we have, I think, 30 of them here in St. Louis County. They're just there. And every vehicle that drives by is surveilled. So Democrats don't want to be surveilled themselves.

[00:50:43] And they don't want their elites surveilled. So until they figure out a way to make it only Republicans, only Black conservatives, only some group they don't like, they're not going to be for it. And I think it's interesting that Bernie Sanders is coming out because he's very powerful when it comes to getting his little minions in that age group that he controls. All he has to do is come out, like you said, with this post. He goes viral. And then they're sent out to county council meetings like here to tell them we want a moratorium on data centers.

[00:51:11] That's what they were all saying, the same three lines. We would like a moratorium or a ban on data centers in the state of Missouri. They all had the same line, 16 people at this meeting. That wasn't organic. They were sent there by the Democrats who are opposed to data centers and artificial intelligence because they side with the CCP. So the flock is something they haven't figured out how to weaponize, and we need to get rid of it before they do. You're exactly right. We have to get rid of it. It violates the Fourth Amendment, violates the First Amendment.

[00:51:38] I think it is just a real problem. They need to be gone. OK, one interesting thing that happened, I'd like both of you to react to this, is that Alexandria Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rejoined the Democratic Socialists of America this month. The organization issued a statement confirming that that happened. We've got this up on the screen right now.

[00:52:04] The Democratic Socialists of America confirms that she is now a member in good standing. She's the one who has called out Woke 1.0 as if she wasn't completely part of Woke 1.0. She certainly seems to be embracing Woke 2.0 as well. So I'll start with Robert and then go to Stacey. What do you guys think of this? I think she simply had to just submit her dues to be part of Woke 2. That's what it seems to be.

[00:52:33] Now everything's OK, as if Woke 1 was completely normal. And of course, I'm just being facetious here. She wants to be president of the United States. And that second place trophy that they seem to be all about, or even that third place trophy, if that's not successful, then taking over for Chuck Schumer. We'll see what develops over the course of the next, goodness, 18 months.

[00:52:57] It seems as if once an election cycle is underway, we're already talking about a presidential cycle or one, two years from now. So we'll watch that very closely. But it's interesting. There is not a leader truly within the Democrat Party. And as I've been mentioning recently on the show, Jenny Beth, it's no longer the Democrats and the DSA as separate entities. As Joe Biden used to put it about Republicans.

[00:53:25] Hey, folks, this isn't your grandfather's Republican Party. Well, I'll flip that argument on the head. This is not your grandfather's Democrat Party. This is not the party of JFK. This is not even the party of Jimmy Carter anymore. This is the party of Democrat Socialists of America. These are communists who have flooded their ranks. And they're looking for a stalwart, really someone to gather momentum behind.

[00:53:47] Because whether it's John Ossoff, Pete Buttigieg, AOC, Gavin Newsom, J.B. Pritzker, going down the whole list to Kathy Hochul, they all believe in implementing this far left agenda, eliminating the United States Senate, creating a unicameral legislative system, getting rid of the presidency of the United States. These reparations on top of countless other initiatives that Stacey has been so articulate on when it comes to surveilling your everyday lives.

[00:54:17] Yeah. And Stacey, what do you think of it? Exactly what he said. And also, I'll just add, AOC is trying to find her footing. So it's a little poke here. It's a little direction there because she's trying to find 2028. That's why she broke up with her boyfriend, because the memes about her being with a white man after saying white people are the patriarchy were too strong. They trended too hard against her. And she's cleaning up her image.

[00:54:39] That's why she said those comments about, you know, when I said we should eliminate the police, I have to, you know, that was during that time that was appropriate for COVID. Now we're in a different place in America. No, we're not. We're in the same place where we were. Regular people want the police and the activists and the jackbooted thugs of Antifa and the Democrats don't want the police. It's pretty simple. There's nothing new here. But when you talk about her, she's like Barack Obama, but on steroids.

[00:55:05] And you have to be very careful because, remember, Barack Obama played the moderate Democrat, just a good, strong Democrat who just wants hope and change, whatever that meant. We never did find out what it meant, did we? I mean, we found out that there was no hope and there was a lot of change that we didn't like. That's basically what he gave us. But in the second term, he ripped the mask off and became his true self in support of gay marriage and everything that came with that, because that's the door that we entered into to get to transgendering the kids.

[00:55:31] And there was also the issue of his foreign policy, the genuflecting to all of these people. AOC is like him, but think if you take something bad and then multiply it times a thousand, like a tree, if you plant a tree, an apple tree, you put one seed in and you get thousands of apples, right? Barack Obama's the seed. AOC is one of those bad apples that we get from his original radicalization of the Democrats, because he's the turning point. You can watch how the Democrats changed.

[00:55:58] It was before Barack Obama and then post Barack Obama and everything that's come from that has been bad. So we have to look at her as a Trojan horse, the child of immigrants who has come here. She's not grateful. She's grown up in an unassimilated way. She's been radicalized by the Democrat Socialists of America. And if she is the standard bearer for 2028, she will bring the Democrats into full socialism and we will have the Republicans and the socialists, which I thought it was illegal to be a socialist in America.

[00:56:27] Like, I'm like, what did I have civics? And I did actually have it in a foreign country. I grew up in Germany. But I'm trying to figure out why are we even allowing anything like the Democrat Socialists of America? It should be against the law because socialism leads to communism, which leads to the death of hundreds of millions of people. And we happen to have hundreds of millions of people here in America. Well, and they're supposed to take an oath to uphold the Constitution.

[00:56:50] And the Democratic Socialists want to they want they are not saying this straight out, but they want to abolish the Constitution. When you want to completely, radically change the Supreme Court, when you want to get rid of the presidency and get rid of the Senate and replace it with one one half of one third of the government. That is not a constitutional government. So they don't they don't support it.

[00:57:16] And when she said what you were just saying about how she was backing off of of defunding the police from woke one point. Oh, well, she just peed to be part of the Democratic Socialists of America on their website. They clearly say right now. Still, they want to abolish abolish the police and abolish abolish prisons.

[00:57:37] Yeah, she like Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer and everyone on the Democratic side right now is trying to figure out how they can be a Democratic Socialist and not be one at the same time. And it doesn't work. You're either for this country or you're against the country. And she is signing up, paying those dues, telling us she is not for constitutional government. I couldn't agree with you more. And I just I want to caution people.

[00:58:04] Remember, it's these no real ideas campaigns. Look at the campaign Kamala Harris ran. People hated it because they didn't know what she stood for. Her website wasn't updated until it was almost over. This is AOC. She'll never tell you exactly what she wants. But look at where she puts her money, her membership. The DSA has told us what they want. And it will lead to anarchy. It will lead to fighting in the streets because unlike other countries that are taken over by communism and socialism, America has around 650 million guns inside it.

[00:58:33] And rocket launchers, grenade launchers. There are private people who own decommissioned F-16s. I mean, this is not the country where you want to say all of a sudden we're going to do socialism. We're going to take all of your money. We're going to take your assets like they're trying to do in California and like they would try to do across the country. So our simple answer is we don't elect Democrats anymore until they become the Democrats of old,

[00:58:58] which were American-loving, law-abiding Americans who just happened to see a different way to do a policy implementation. They were just different on how to implement good ideas from the Republicans. Those Democrats we want back. These new ones, the socialists, we'll fight them. That's what this country is about, fighting when people attack you. We fight back. We don't go and invade other countries to take them over for ourselves, but we will fight you over this country. And that's what she's bringing us to.

[00:59:26] It's so unfortunate because she's really just an empty-headed, you know, kind of moron. But she's the kind of moron who's dangerous to our country. We really have to look at them this way now. And I know it's, oh, Stacey, you're so radical. I'm not radical unless you ask me about this country. I'm radically in love with America. I'm radically in love with my husband and my kids, and I want to see a great future for future grandkids of mine. Jenny Beth and I talk all the time about her. She's got these beautiful twins, and they're doing all these amazing things. And when I get updates, I'm like, yes, that sounds so great. That's all we want.

[00:59:56] We don't want much. We just want to just leave our kids alone, leave our future grandkids alone. That's what AOC is a threat to. She really is. And then let's talk about one more threat to our children before we close out today. Meta just settled with 29 state attorneys over what Facebook and Instagram did to children when it comes to addiction to social media.

[01:00:22] Meta has said they will limit teens to two hours a day, block apps between midnight and 6 a.m. without parental consent, and expand parental tools. And we've got this stuff up on the screen. Stacey, as a mom, what do you think of this, and what do you make of the settlement with Meta? Well, so congratulations to Meta to avoiding the big because the hammer was going to drop on them so hard. They knew that jury verdict would be so bad for them.

[01:00:52] So, you know, congratulations sarcastically to Meta. But what they're doing is they're announcing a change that is supposed to already be an implementation in your household. And that is it's what we did at our house. And it was very successful for us with our kids. And that is in the same room I'm sitting in, which at the time was not a full-time studio for me. I had a little table, and on it was a power strip with all of the chargers that went to every single device, whether you had an iPad, whether you had a cell phone, whatever.

[01:01:20] And a couple of my kids had iPads that went from their high school. Those were their high school iPads issued to them by their Christian school. Everything that was a device had to be on the charging pad overnight. So I think that Stacey may have just frozen up there. If we get her back, we'll come back to her.

[01:01:47] Robert, I want to say one more thing about this Meta decision that is a little bit alarming to me. And that is that how are they going to implement it? How do they know who is a kid and who's not? Are they going to require every single person who signs up for an account to show a photo ID and compare it to your face?

[01:02:06] And I don't mind showing a photo ID to go vote, but I don't want Meta or any social media company or any company where I'm searching for things. Having knowing I want to be able to have anonymous speech. I want to be able to have anonymous searches without it all being tracked back to my government ID.

[01:02:29] And that is a little bit alarming to me, especially when you're talking about earlier in the show, poor Richard's almanac. And we think about the Federalist Papers, which also were originally published anonymously. Well, I agree, Jenny Beth. And I trust parents like you. I trust Stacey as well, like she was saying, about putting those machines and the tools that we use on a daily basis now right there at that table, let alone what students could scroll through between the hours of 10 to 6.

[01:02:58] But also the fact that they're doing a lot of these studies, the blue light, just bad for the eyes before sleep. Personally, I use my cell phone as my alarm clock, so it goes in the other room so I can get that REM sleep that I need. And as they continue to do these studies, we'll learn more. But funny story for you over the weekend. A few days ago, I went through the car wash and I realized I looked at the monitor over to the side. It had my name on it, all this information. And I thought for a moment, wow, this is really starting to get creepy.

[01:03:28] And what kind of technology is there? Was it from the credit card? Was it simply from a facial recognition like we see already with the TSA? By the way, when you're going to the airport, that's optional technology to have that picture taken of you. So all you need to present is your photo ID as the agreement was in the first place. So make sure that you are really knowing what to do and what the laws are when it comes to convenience now in America. That convenience can lead to the loss of liberties.

[01:03:58] And we know that Benjamin Franklin once stated that those will neither have liberty nor convenience if that's what they seek. And they don't deserve it ultimately if we're not on the forefront of all this. And I think we've got Stacey back. So, Stacey, I wanted you to finish up talking about the strip and the computers and iPads that you made your kids check in every night. Uh-oh. Maybe you hit it mute.

[01:04:26] I muted myself because I was sitting here waiting. Briefly, they put it on the charger every night. Now, we had different rules on the weekend sometimes. But what it helped them with was to get some sleep because, as you just so wisely pointed out, we end up scrolling. I do it myself. I'm putting my phone on so I can have an alarm with it. And instead, I'm looking at Facebook Marketplace. So, it is helpful to have a place that's not your nightstand to put your phone overnight.

[01:04:51] But I just want to point out all the control that you need to keep your kids safe on Facebook, you already have the power to do that. You're their parent. Just decide this is the hours. We're going to put our phones in the middle of the table at dinner so we can talk. We're going to have no phone nights. We can have game night. When we watch a movie together, we're going to put our phones on the coffee table so they don't distract us so we can actually enjoy the movie. Do these things so your kids can be well-rounded. And then also, I'll just point out, this is your kid that you have for only 18 summers.

[01:05:18] Maybe they put their phone down and you look them in the face and ask them, how's your day? Or guess what? Let's go on a walk. I just want to walk with you. We don't even have to talk. Just let's go walk together. Let's take a quick 10 minutes. Spend some time with them. Let them know how much you love them. Spend some time really understanding them so you can have that relationship when they're adults so they will want to go on vacation with you, want to spend time with you in their adult lives. They'll be excited when they see you calling them on the cell phone.

[01:05:45] They'll be excited when you send them a little package full of whatever it is that you got them from Sam's Club. I'm talking about a relationship with a person you made. You made a person. So why not spend some time with that person and love them, hug them, treat them the way you did when they were a baby, only you don't have to pick them up. But hug them, squeeze their shoulders, touch their face. Let them know you love them and you value them. And then they will want a relationship with you later when it really matters.

[01:06:12] When you're an adult and you're an empty nester like I am, I'm so excited that they want to come here and spend the weekend for me to make them a pot roast. Like they could get that anywhere, but they want to come to me. I'm grateful for that. But I gave up a lot of the stuff that other moms were doing in order to have that relationship. And I don't regret a second of it. One weekend in Florida as opposed to one weekend hanging out with my kids, playing video games or because I play video games with them. Also, whatever they want to do, I do it.

[01:06:38] I'm in their world and I want them to know that so that they'll want to be with me. Because when I get old, I don't want to be sitting by myself somewhere, you know, with some strangers in a rocking chair. I want them to want to hang out with me at least a little bit. So, you know, the Facebook thing, it's good. I'm glad they're being held to account. But it's the powers with moms and dads. That's where it is. I completely agree with you, Stacey. It is with the moms and dads.

[01:07:02] I made sure that my kids, they had to charge their phone by the back door that we would go in and out of every day. It was downstairs away from their bedrooms. They weren't allowed to have it in their bedroom at night. And I know sometimes they got frustrated with me. I was, you and I were probably what they would call mean moms. But I mean, by mean mom, we meant you're going to just, you're going to follow the rules.

[01:07:31] You know where they are. And we love you so much that we're putting these rules in place to make sure that we protect you. They're the guardrails to make sure that you are safe and that you can grow up. And I love the fact that my children want to come and spend time with me. I'm just like, I'm just like you. I hate being an empty nester, but I do love being able to see my children. And it's nice. It's really nice.

[01:07:54] As much as I hate being an empty nester, it would be so much worse if they were living in my basement and their pajamas like Obama's pajama boy. Living there full time. You couldn't get them out. Yeah. Or they're the surly people. Because when I talk to people and their kids are still living at home, it's not that it's so bad that they're there. It's that they're there and they're not working. They're not doing anything. They won't help clean. And they're surly. They're angry because they know they're not where they need to be.

[01:08:23] You know, Jenny Beth, when you talk about that back door, I just want to point out, this is wherever you want this thing to be. It could be in your front foyer. The location is not the issue. The issue is that you have that and any kid who doesn't want to abide by these rules pays for their own cell phone. Or they just don't have a cell phone, period. Family shut it out the door because you're buying this stuff. Do your kids have full time jobs working at Meta? No, they're not earning money. They need you to have a phone. So cut it off.

[01:08:50] You can say, well, our choice is to have it on the charger overnight or for me to cut off all of these cell phones. And the kids will immediately say, oh, sure, we'll put it on the charger. And they'll just move on. We have power, but we don't use it because a lot of people believe all this nonsense from Hollywood and from that lady at Target who's always coming up to you. There's always some random chick coming up to you at Target when you have your kids. Oh, you have a lot of kids. Or, oh, you have your hands full. Don't listen to that lady. She's just there to be mean. Think about what you want.

[01:09:19] And then think about the way to tell your kids, this is what I want. And, yes, I was a mean mom many times. But I would tell them when they'd be mad at me, I'd say, so you're mad at me and you think I'm being mean. But I am 33 years older than you, you young one. I'm 30 years older than you. I know what the end is better than you do. And so we're going to go with this and you're going to be mad. But then later I'm going to be cooking and you're going to be eating and hopefully you'll be over this by then. Right. You can't be this mad tomorrow.

[01:09:49] I'll give you until tomorrow morning. You can be mad until tomorrow. And then we're moving on. And now my kids employ those same tactics in their own lives. And sometimes they joke around like, oh, you were really mean about the phones. And now look at you. You're on your phone. I'm like, yeah, you're policing me. I raised you right. You're right. I've been on this thing too long and I have to put it down. They will tell me, mom, are you working on the weekend? You got your phone in your face. Are you on X? I'm like, I am reading. I am reading. I'm reading the news on Saturday. I'm like, wow. You know, they do it to me.

[01:10:18] My daughter will come to the door at 1145 Central. My show's been over for 45 minutes. And she'll say, why are you still in here? Aren't you supposed to be upstairs getting ready for bed? And I'm like, you're right. And I start turning off the lights and stuff. And she kind of looks at me. She's like, well, I'll be swinging by your bedroom in a couple of minutes. And hopefully you'll be in there. And also let me go check and see if daddy's still downstairs in his office because he has an office at home too. And she will round us up. Get out. You're not supposed to be working at midnight.

[01:10:46] So this comes back. And it's good. It's good. So don't. I'm not condemning anybody. We could all use a little pick me up. I get it from the kids now. I was giving it to them. Get your pick me up from the show today. Jenny Beth gave amazing advice on this. We all did. And just take that with you. And don't feel condemned about it. There's no reason for you to be upset. Just do it. Because it's for your kids. That's right. And if you don't have kids, like Robert, do it for yourself. Put the phone away. You don't need to be scrolling late at night.

[01:11:16] It's not good for you. Robert, your turn will come. You file this information for when it's your turn. It'll be your turn soon. I am listening to two very wise ladies. And I will implement it as soon as possible. But it's true for the single people out there. Yeah, do it for your own health. Because some people are miserable the next day because they've been doom scrolling. And as someone who worked at Truth Social at a tech firm, you should limit it to around one hour a day. Everyone's a little bit different. But try to limit that social media as much as possible.

[01:11:45] Robert sets a high bar. We will work to get there. That's what I'll promise. One hour a day. Yeah, I don't know how I'd research for the show with one hour a day.
