After 115 days of working across the aisle and meeting with 90 House members and 10 senators, Scott says the patience is over.
The deadline: pass the SAVE America Act before May 26th, or Senator John Cornyn loses his Texas Senate seat. The bill, championed by Senator Mike Lee, Congressman Chip Roy, Congressman Bryan Steil, and Speaker Mike Johnson, would require proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections and add voter ID requirements that 84% of Americans support.
Scott names every Republican he is holding accountable: Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana for voting for red flag laws and to impeach President Trump, Senate Republicans in Indiana refusing to redraw districts to support President Trump's agenda, and Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, where there is also a November ballot petition to defeat ranked choice voting.
