Dr. Brian Tyson treated more than 19,000 COVID patients at All Valley Urgent Care in Imperial County, California. In this segment he says the plain thing out loud: to this day, nobody from the public health department, the National Institutes of Health, or the Food and Drug Administration has ever come to him and asked what worked and what did not.
What makes it strange, he says, is that the data already existed and the state already had it. The California Department of Public Health ran a collection site inside his clinic for ten months. He handed over numbers every Friday. Patient records, phone numbers, addresses, everything entered into the state reporting system so it could be tracked.
Then, he says, the state went to publish, and two findings did not make it in: that early treatment worked, and that patients who had been infected were not getting reinfected. He describes what he had documented at that point in roughly 1,700 to 1,800 patients. Treatment, success. Treatment, success. All of it verified.
So he asked the state's own doctors why those two metrics were not being collected and promoted. The next day, he says, he received an email telling him his clinic was no longer a sentinel site.
