David Bossie helped plan the first Republican midterm convention in American history, and in this clip he explains what it is actually for. Two evening sessions in Dallas, Vice President Vance and President Trump on the program, and underneath the speeches an argument aimed at the country: promises made, promises kept, and a reminder of what this administration inherited.
Bossie does not get there gently. He starts with the stakes. A socialist winning a Senate seat, he says, would turn around and run for president immediately, and would have to be taken seriously. If Republicans lose the House or the Senate in November, Democrats impeach the President, impeach his cabinet, and go after everyone connected to the administration. His advice to conservatives who are frustrated is to stop wringing their hands and get to work, because staying home is how the other outcome happens.
