China Now Owns 277,000 Acres Near 342 US Military Bases. Hayden Ludwig Investigates.

China owns 277,000 acres near 342 US military bases, nearly 20x what media reported. Restoration of America's Hayden Ludwig exposes the scale.
In this segment of The Jenny Beth Show, Restoration of America's Director of Policy Research Hayden Ludwig walks through his team's investigation into Chinese ownership of United States farmland.
The finding: 342 United States military bases sit within 50 miles of Chinese-owned property, including Fort Meade, Fort Detrick, and bases that control the nuclear ICBM stockpile. That is nearly 20 times what the mainstream media has reported.
Ludwig explains how we got here. Until just a few years ago, only one state had any restriction on foreign ownership of farmland. Smithfield Foods, the largest pork producer in the United States and based in Virginia, is now Chinese-owned. China's Made in China 2025 strategy and Belt and Road Initiative are explicitly designed to make Beijing import-proof and blockade-proof.
The risks are not theoretical. Corn silos can house surveillance cameras. Drones create new vulnerabilities. And a Chinese billionaire now controls 200,000 acres of forest land in rural Oregon in the same counties where Chinese black-market marijuana and synthetic opioid operations are booming.
Why this matters: a Senate bill that would ban this has not been brought to a vote.
